I found Jack Miller on Tejon downtown while looking for someone local to reset my wife's 20th anniversary ring. It's tough to trust someone with something so valuable and delicate. My wife and I interviewed Jack (along with a half dozen others over a six month period of time) in his shop. He was professional, experienced, he had references and examples of his work, his help was competent and prompt. We trusted him. Jack listened to what we wanted to accomplish, made a few suggestions and gained our agreement. The old ring we gave him to work with featured three beautiful diamonds in a weak, gold setting. Jack set our expectations for timeframe and price and we left his shop hopeful of the outcome. A few weeks later we received a call saying the ring was done and letting us know we could come to pick it up. We went to Jack's shop with high expectations. I couldn't believe the ring; it was so much more brilliant and so much better showcased than either of us could have imagined. We were blown away. I should have said, "thank you," or "great job", but all I could say was, "WOW!" You have to trust someone with your jewelry and you want a quality product. In Colorado there's only one Jack Miller. Thank you, Jack. In the words of Dale Carnegie,...
Read moreI was very impressed with Jack Miller Jewelry. I had never heard of them until a couple days ago when looking for a place that had some Tsavorite cut Garnets for my daughter who had a research project for school and wanted to researchTsavorite. I wanted to take her to a place that she could actually see in person the stones and learn from some one other than a computer and books. When I called they said they had a really small one. I told them I would be able to come in Thursday or Friday and when I arrived I found out that that the lady there(sorry I don't remember her name) had actually ordered a couple for my daughter to look at. I have never had any one do that for my kids before and that was just awesome. She son and daughter get to see how they weigh them, pulled up information, and and even let my daughter see what the stones could look like in a setting. Very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Granted my daughter is only 7 and I don't think she was as into it as I was, but I was just excited that my daughter had wanted to learn about a gemstone. I will be returning and hoping I can pick out something small for my daughter...
Read moreVery dissatisfied and unimpressed! We had Jack give us a quote to size my husband's two-tone gold wedding band. He claimed that he would have to take the yellow gold edges off the ring, increase the white gold main band, expand both the yellow gold edges, reattach them to the main band then restore the design in the band. He told us the fee would be $600.00. We were shocked and took it to another jeweler in town. They did not have to do any of those complicated things since the yellow gold edges where not separate pieces of gold, but overlaid on the white gold (Jack, as a Master Jeweler should have known that just by looking at it). They completed the sizing in 2 days, repaired all of the prongs on my ring, then cleaned and polished both our rings. All of these services cost less than $300.00 and the work was incredible! Very exquisite work. We cannot even tell where the ring was cut and added to. Take away - Do your research and do not allow a store with a seemingly good name sell you a false bill of goods. Look around and educate yourselves before you invest in something which may not be worth what you...
