Had been going to Kroger since I was young and thought I’d try out Giant Eagle. Gotta say that I’m happy I made the switch. Saturday morning/afternoon is when I do my grocery shopping and Kroger at this time only ever had one check out line open. This Giant Eagle always has at least 2 usually 3. Never have to wait more than a few minutes compared to usually waiting at least 30 mins at Kroger.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and always smiling. They actually greet you when you approach them, unlike the scowls and complete silence you’re met with at Kroger. They keep the whole market very clean and everything is laid out well.
Only gripe is the prices are a bit higher than Kroger. I went from paying $120-150 per week to $150-180. That being said the fuel perks are a bit better and the slightly higher prices are worth it for the superior service and execution. They even have a bar where you can get a beer to take with you...
