DIY Craft&Thrift — Local services in Concord

I came for the first time today, not really knowing what to expect or having anything particular in mind for a planned project. Just wanted to browse. The lady at the register was very kind and welcoming. She explained the layout of the store and the amazing amount of materials they have diverted from landfills with their business model. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount and variety of supplies they had. Half of the area is dedicated to a retail space for local makers and studio space for artists and makers. The other half is for crafting supplies. My interest today was the sewing related stuff - notions, thread, and fabric. I got a whole paper grocery bag of fabrics, a handful of zippers and thread spools, and other little stuff, for only $25. They also had yarn, patterns, knitting needles, buttons, wooden items, markers/ drawing tools, and much more. I'm very excited to have more materials that I can use to practice my sewing skills for much more cheaply than paying full price at a box store such as Joann. I'm also grateful to have a place to bring my leftovers from finished projects so other people can benefit, and I can reduce the clutter in my sewing corner. I will definitely coming back- both to donate and to buy. I think this is a wonderful resource...

Absolutely incredible craft store!! Please please PLEASE go check it out when you can. They have sections with yarn for crocheting and knitting, scrapbooking stamps and papers, books, knickknacks, and all kinds of stuff. There's also local artists there selling their pieces and they are BEAUTIFUL. I can't wait to come back! The staff are incredible and so helpful. This craft store is a must when you're in town, even if you aren't looking for anything specific. It's so fun to see what local artists are there and what is available. Definitely...

This store is amazing! The owners are incredibly gentle and kind; they are truly bringing their mission to fruition. That space is always being creatively used for different things.
