Bungalow 56 Interior Design — Local services in Coronado

I have never, never been so disappointed in an interior design company. We just moved to San Diego from Little Rock, AR. We are renting in Coronado Cays. Bungalow 56 was recommended to us by 2 different individuals. When I initially spoke with Karen at Bungalow 56, she spoke to me confidently about the value of their company to residential customers. In the end, we were dissatisfied with the product delivered by Bungalow 56. We purchased over $20,000.00 of furniture and design expertise that has resulted in 3 rooms that do not look at all like they have been touched by professional Interior Designers. In addition, we had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I worked with interior designers in Little Rock AR for over 2 decades and never disappointed. We had an estate sale before leaving Little Rock, and looked forward to new furnishings, and new interior design. We should never have signed on with Bungalow 56. do not believe what they say but rather read very, very carefully the fine print in the contract and ask lots and lots of questions. Bottom line, I would not recommend Bungalow 56 to anyone. For more detailed concerns see below.

the following bullet points are my concerns: most furnishings from Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma who provide free consultations to customers. I would have done better using these 2 stores that had much more flexible hours and would be available to me when I was not working. (I was working 60 hour work week at new job) Karen refused to tell me where they purchased our new furniture until I demanded to do so Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma have no problem allowing designers to tell their customers where they bought the furnishings had I know upfront, I would have used Pottery Barn and WS so that I could see furniture prior to purchase we would have had much more attractive and interesting furniture had we not signed contract with Bungalow 56 now we are stuck with their poor choices with no hint of a professional design company's input our own choices would have been less expensive, and...

Five-Star Experience at Bungalow 56!

I had the most pleasant experience walking into Bungalow 56. The store is light, airy, and filled with the coziest decor that instantly makes you feel at home. Not only does it look amazing — it smells incredible too!

They carry the cutest selection of items, from candles, soaps, and body lotions to furniture, apparel, and even jewelry. Everything is so thoughtfully curated — there’s truly something for everyone.

The gals working there were super friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to be helpful, which made the experience even better.

This shop is a gem, and I honestly can’t wait to go back and shop some more!
