Trudy's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Corpus Christi

My daughter and friends went to visit this store earlier today and my daughter was accused of stealing an anime toy that my daughter had in her hands before she walked in. Rule number 1 in customer service is you greet your customers as soon as they walk in and make eye contact. The associate Lindsay, followed my daughter out of the store and accused her of stealing the little anime toy she had in her hand. That also shows me that Lindsay doesn’t know the merchandise she sells or she would have known that item was not being sold in the store. If she would have asked my daughter (and I’m this case she didn’t) for a receipt, she would have shown you the receipt from Hot Topic. So you see a group of Hispanic teens and accuse one of them of stealing. Rule #2 is if you don’t have evidence, you can’t accuse. I wish you would have called the mall cops and she would have to call me to get her because I would have laid into you about accusing my just graduated teen of stealing....

After a week of looking for a particular item, this place miraculously had not one but three. However, they won’t sell one to me, much less three! I had to be in the store. I told them I was searching everywhere, and I was willing to drive.

I went from HOPE to DISAPPOINTMENT to just plain DEPRESSED. Why would someone toy with another’s feeling/ mental health like that?

You had the chance to make someone’s day only, instead, to have their HOPE ripped out of their chest, along with their heart.

I’ve been a collector of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments for over 20+ years. It would have been better to have just said “No, we ran out”.

Today an associate followed my sister, kids, and I throughout the store. She made me feel super uncomfortable, I did not get her name but she’s an old lady with white hair. I had to walk out of the store before I went off on her. I waited outside till my sister was done looking in the store because she made me that uncomfortable. Everywhere we went she would follow us, she tried to play it off by grabbing some stuff off the shelves to look busy. We were looking at some stuffed animals and she proceeded to follow us. If she thinks customers are stealing, which we definitely were not she should take herself to the back and keep an eye on customers through the cameras and not follow them throughout the store. VERY unprofessional, this is not the first time this dumb old lady...
