We got married in November of this year, we went in to men’s warehouse in June just to get an idea to see if the color choices we wanted they could do. The guy that came up to us wouldn’t even hear me out once I told him what day our wedding was he kept saying you guys are here way to early we can do weddings two weeks out so right now is too early and you should come back. So we left confused to why he wouldn’t even sit with us about colors. We then decided it’s ok let’s give them another chance, we went back in in August and before we picked our suits I informed them that we had one of the groomsmen that was a bit bigger and wanted to make sure they could get a suit for his size. The guy assured me that was no problem and they can. We picked out everything and left and felt better about us going through men’s warehouse. Our first groomsmen went in to get fitted and they said they had nothing on file for us, they had to call my fiancé at the time and ask him what all we picked so they can measure him. Then everyone went and got measured and all was good. The day they called us that the suits were ready we went to go pick it up and our groomsmen that we warned them about came with us, him and my husband tried on their suits. My husbands suit pants legs were above his ankles and the groomsmen jacket didn’t fit, his pants were 3.5 inches too long (they also kept telling this groomsmen that his body is not a rental body and he needs to custom build his suit making him not feel great about himself, this got me mad because I asked if they could do it before I we decided to get suits through them). They then assured us that they can order the groomsmen another jacket in time and they could fix the pants in house. I then asked the guy could we get the refund on my husbands suit because we had enough men. He then told me we cannot get a refund because we didn’t get a tie through them so we do not qualify, I let him know that no one ever told us that and we were not aware. He then said I’m sick and tired of making this company lose money because people like you who demand their money and started to get in a fight with my husband. I then took over and explained to him again that it’s not losing money because people like us who demand it it’s because people arnt trained properly and give out all the correct information. I then told him to just keep the money it’s not worth the stress he then says “your fiancé needs to chill because I’ll give you a refund I’m just sick of losing money” also him and another guy said I don’t understand why the groom his worried about the groomsmen who gives a s* how they look it’s his day. We then left and came back when the suits were supposed to be done again, my husbands suit was fine but the groomsmen was going to put his suit on and they never did any of the alterations on the pants even though it was on the same tag as the jacket that they fixed. They ended up having to make a total of 4 trips to men’s warehouse for something that could have been handled twice. Just so disappointed with this branch and lack of customer service skills...
Read moreMy experience was extremely poor. I got fitted for a suit for my wedding in February. During my fitting, I did express I work 12-hour shifts in blocks during that February fitting. I work like everyone else and tried to be accommodating with my schedule. And that might need a Monday or Tuesday to come and try it on. Fast forward to the week of my wedding. I called Monday due to being off and working 12-hour shifts Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and was told that it was not ready/not in. Come to find out, they received the suit Sunday and marked it for pickup Tuesday on a tag. Totally ignoring my call and simple request. So, Tuesday it's ready; I wasn't able to get anyone to pick it up until Wednesday. Try the suit Wednesday night, and it does not fit. The pants come to my ankles, the jacket is too short in the arms and doesn't button, and I was given a geriatric bib instead of a vest.... I tried on a real vest at Men's Warehouse, and it fit. I was told over the phone that that size/color only comes in the bib size, which was not told to me or our wife at the time of fitting; it would have caused changes to our colors. But, nevertheless, I was told there was nothing Men's Warehouse could do on Thursday during my call with them. I did not yell or curse or act aggressively towards staff. I asked for my measurements. Called my local Boscov's with the measurements. A gentleman was kind enough to check for my sizes and located one in a charcoal grey suit. My wife/fiancée at the time was able to get off work early, bring the suit to my job for me to try on, and it fit. If Men's Warehouse had used the measurements, I wouldn't be out the money for purchasing a suit that was more expensive than renting. More importantly, if my simple request had been followed, maybe we could have avoided the whole disaster that could have happened. I wasn't given a full refund part of one due to my wife/ fiancée at the time wanting to see if we could use it. We didn't due to it not matching what we got. So, kind of a waste. But honestly that falls flat on this difficult situation I had to manage while working two days(during my call to men's wear house) and shooing for everything a day before. I had to find a suit/shoes/shirt/tie/socks/pocket square. With less than 24 hours. Which is extremely expensive(double what I rented for)and difficult a day before my wedding. Plus, we were doing a practice and a dinner the day before while I was trying to find all the items. I wish I could...
Read moreMade a “wedding appointment” here as the groom and took my best man with me to find an outfit and get fitted. We were there on time but were not helped until 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time.
The employee who helped us was nice… but very inexperienced and not helpful. My best man and I basically did everything ourselves (even though we came in for a consultation).
The whole procedure seemed completely backwards to me. I wanted to try a few different things on and figure out what I really liked, and then get fitted for the outfit… Instead they make you select and finalize your outfit piece by piece WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO TRY ANDYTHING ON and then they have you throw on some generic garments to try on to fit you. So I’ve essentially rented a tux without having any idea how it will actually look on me.
Then they don’t mention price at all until the very end when you go to check out (once everything is already finalized).
I know MW is convenient especially for coordinating with a wedding party, but I would not...
