I will preface this to say that I don't know of any pharmacy that consistently provides good service; however, this may be the final straw for Martin's in Cumberland. They never fill prescriptions that are sent over to them until you actually show up to get it. Today, I went to pick up an antibiotic for my sick son immediately after it was prescribed by his doctor. Of course, it wasn't ready. I was told that it would be 30 minutes, so I spent 30 minutes walking around the store with my sick toddler killing time. Then, I went to pick up the prescription. It still wasn't mixed. They asked me to step aside while it was finished up. They rushed to fill it and didn't add any flavor, so the medicine tasted awful. I tried flavoring it myself with strawberry syrup, adding sugar, adding juice, but my son still wouldn't take it. I felt like I was literally torturing my son trying to get him to take this disgusting medicine. His dad will be returning it tomorrow to get it corrected, but now I'm worried that my son won't trust the medicine even after it's corrected due to the horrible experience. Plus, this is delaying his treatment and prolonging his suffering. This isn't the first time they've done this. They've also given us prescriptions with our son's name on the outer box and another patient's name on the label on the bottle...
Read moreWhile traveling, tried to get a prescription filled here and it took them a week to get back to me and tell me that they tried my original pharmacy “20 times” and it always says they are at lunch. The recording says they are closed for lunch...between the hours of 12-1. If they would’ve held on for literally one more second they would’ve heard the rest of the recording. When I called to tell them that, the guy I spoke with said no matter what time of day they called they would get that message...yeah um because it’s a recording!!?!? Then he proceeded to tell me that they tried multiple times and were even hung up on. I’ve worked with my previous pharmacy since 2011 and have never had an issue. When I told the guy from Martins this, he said “oh so you think I’m lying?” I said yeah either that or there is some other miscommunication happening. He cut me off and then said he would get his pharmacist. Was on hold for what seemed forever before I just got fed up and hung up. Now, my partner is out of critical and possibly life threatening medication and no...
Read moreI called in a refill on a prescription that I only take as needed on their automated line on Saturday . The automated line said my script would be ready after 5pm that day. I went in on Sunday to pick it up only to be told they wouldn't refill it. My bottle said I have 2 refills before 2026. Their explanation didn't make sense. My issue is they never called me to tell me there was an issue. I'll call my doctor tomorrow to get it fixed, but a call would have been useful. They weren't nice about it either. They were acting like it was suspicious that the first script was written by an ER doctor and the second one by my PCP. Like having two prescriptions for the same meds was suspicious. I wish this pharmacy was more credible. When I contacted my PCP after not being notified by Martin's Pharmacy my prescription issue had been resolved, I found out the PCP had indeed reordered my prescription as Martin's required but Martin's had not contacted me. I think they're punishing me. I hope they aren't planning to slip me a mickey in my med bottle in...
