Read moreMartin's recently installed a "high accuracy" software on their self-checkouts. If you thought the self-checkouts were annoying before, they are absolutely insufferable now. Not only did it flag me for trying to steal something about 6 times, all 6 times the clerk assigned to the self check out checked my bag to make sure I scanned everything. I tried explaining that I DID scan everything, the machine just didn't like the weight of any small object and would constantly flag it, stopping the process. Just how necessary is it to create this absolutely broken self-checkout system that is trying to catch people for thieving when thieves probably don't even use the self-check out? Research has proven that the cost large-scale grocers like Martins incurs for theft is basically negligible. All it does is stop actual long-term paying customers from shopping at your store. I will no longer be shopping at Martins because I don't want to take an hour at the self-checkout for your stupid machine to constantly think I am stealing something when you have gotten rid of actual check-out clerks. Martins is also the most expensive grocer in town so it's really not of your best interest to chase away customers. At least Walmart's self-checkout...
Read moreThe self checkout was broken and had an error and that's no problem. The problem is I was treated like a criminal after the fact of an error on the stores fault with the water not scanning properly then having some gelatinous gremlin standing over my shoulder a lane over just staring at me and me only every item I scanned and item everything I did once more only doing this to me with a store full of people ! The lady before me had trouble with the same check out lane but she was not treated like that. I had to move some more money over form my savings to checking and there She was just trying to assert her dominance or whatever she is paid Minimum wage to do as the grocery store police with stare down intimidation tactics. Its kinda funny now that I think about it but still Wrong, and Very rude and Uncomfortable. No Paying Honest costumer should ever have to deal with this EVER. . I probably spend $500 dollars a month or more there. They have a poor selection and ever worse customer service. I felt like I was shopping in Germany in the early 30s and 40s with the grocery store gestapo patrolling never again will I spend my hard earned money at Thier store and I will advise everyone I meet or know to...
