Recent purchase at this location and just wanted to share my experience. I made the call to this location after viewing a few locations online. I spoke with an employee who appeared busy at a time with other calls coming in. I thought this was a good sign. At the time I made my purchase, I wasn't able to review a web site or see any prices with arrangements as I was for other locations. As I was speaking with the employee, I was asked are you price checking or buying? This should of been my 1st clue. I needed an arrangement due to a recent passing in our family. Looking at other florist and being able to compare cost and design you would think you would know what you were talking about. I made my purchase blind, my mistake to say the least. So I can't complain, but I can make others aware, which is my ultimate goal during my reviews. I was asked what I wanted to purchase and for whom. I checked delivery, which they advised several others were going to the same location. I was not briefed on the arrangement other than they all ready had some made. My next question was what do you want on the card and that was correct and my request for a blue ribbon, which was also correct. Upon my arrival for the viewing, I found our arrangement, which appeared "open" and "airy." A far cry from "full" and "satisfying." I was a little upset but again buying blind then blindsided what should I expect. I just want you to know that if you purchase from this location it's far from the rest so do more research and confirm your purchase or go to the location (best bet). I asked for a "large" arrangement and quoted the cost I had seen. Large is a pretty standard measurement and I made sure I said that. I was provided no feedback other than how much are you wanting to spend. I quoted the average large price. I again felt good about my purchase. Before you buy, ask for details or size (width and height). I can't say that enough. Overall at this location, I would go in and or care fully ask alot of questions while on the phone about my purchase. So would I purchase from them again, not without seeing my item up front. Could there have been more since the fillers involved were less costly definitely.

Update: Owner/Employee Brad reached out after reading my review with 2 star rating. Then texted me. Brad apologized about the miscommunication and corrected the issue at his expense. I have ordered arrangements online from Petals & Stems twice. My best friend (who has worked as a florist herself) really, really loved the vibrant & elegant flowers I sent her on her birthday, so I used Petals & Stems again to send my mother a just-because arrangement, which she adored! (She is a discerning flower-liker as well, as a member of a garden club who frequently makes her own arrangements!)

Here's a little more about the experience: First, it's worth noting that they have a really great variety of arrangements on their site, with fitting & evocative names, which helps so much when you're hoping to send a particular message on a given occasion. The prices seem fair (a floral arrangement is a work of art!) & I appreciated the availability of a few sizes for different price points (or different levels of emphasis!). Not very long after placing my order through their site, I was dutifully notified by email that, due to pandemic-related complications, there was a shortage of more than one type of flower used in the arrangement I selected, but that an arrangement in the same style would be made with similar flowers. What my mother received shortly afterward was beautiful & perfectly matched the spirit of the arrangement I had chosen: a sort-of-Springy take on a sort-of-Fally color pallette, maybe a little bit of a "high-&-low" mix of lovely things, elegant, but not fussy. :-) The message for my mom that I had put into the order form was printed on the inside of a piece of folded paper, which looked like it was folded & sealed with a special printer for florist shops, & which was held in a little forked card-holder in the arrangement. (I note this to say: if I had included a deeply personal note, it looks like it would have remained private even during preparation of the arrangement. I'm not sure if this is typical or unique, but it was something I noticed!)

Today was my 14th anniversary,and I wanted to send my wife some amazing roses to her work in farmers branch. We live in McKinney so I googled best florists near farmers branch and came up with petal and stems. it's not like I could go and check their quality, so I relied on the comments given on this 4.9 star rated shop. Every review pretty much shared the same expression over quality, and the few instances were there was a issue they addressed it quickly and in a way that still left the customer feeling like giving 5 stars. I have to Dispatch in the field at 8am in the morning and can't really be making personal calls after that, but wanted to place a order.

One reviewer had said by chance he called at 7:03 am an hour before their scheduled opening time and someone answered and was happy to help him. I thought that had to be a fluke or just luck for that guy. I called at 7:27am this morning and a very polite man answered the phone and I asked if I could order some flowers ,and he did not hesitate at all. Unfortunately they did not have the osiana roses I really wanted to send, i told him I wanted 2-3 dozen roses but in different colors. I was unsure of a good combination, but like a pro he suggested red,pink and white which ultimately expresses Love! I did have a request of a non color vase and one with no design, just a nice simple clear smooth vase.

At 1:45 my wife called me with a happy, trembling almost crying voice expressing how impressive and overwhelming the arrangement was. She was rushed with Awes and jealous admires( everything a husband wants his wife to experience). Petals and stems ...
