I’ve been living at Tamai Tower at Sakura Square, run by Cornerstone Apartments, for a few months now, and while my experience started off a bit rocky, I can honestly say it’s been a huge improvement since the arrival of the new building manager, Patrick.
When I first moved in, there were multiple issues that made the transition difficult, and unfortunately, the previous building manager was not responsive or helpful in addressing them. One of the two elevators was out of service for a long time, which delayed my movers and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Additionally, there were parking problems, especially with accessibility due to my disability, and the washer and dryers often either didn’t work or would steal money, which was beyond frustrating. Communication from the office was lacking, and I didn’t receive timely call-backs or updates on the issues I raised.
However, despite these early hurdles, the maintenance team deserves praise. Whenever I submitted a work request, the repairs were prompt—sometimes even completed the same day! The maintenance staff were consistently courteous, efficient, and helpful. I really appreciated their dedication to keeping the building in top shape.
Then came Patrick, the new building manager, and he has truly been a game-changer. From day one, he’s gone above and beyond to make sure all my concerns were addressed. He’s been incredibly responsive, offering his personal cell number for any urgent needs and answering emails promptly. Patrick made sure to resolve issues with the washers and dryers, helped me with renters insurance questions, and has been incredibly proactive in making sure everything runs smoothly.
What sets Patrick apart is not just his efficiency, but the fact that he genuinely cares about the tenants. Moving to a big city like Denver—especially downtown—was a bit overwhelming at first, but having someone like Patrick in charge has made a huge difference. His attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile have made my experience so much easier and more enjoyable. He’s made me feel like I’m more than just a tenant—he truly cares about my comfort and satisfaction here.
I also have to mention the security guard who I always see patrolling the property. He makes his presence known, which honestly makes me feel safe, but he’s not intrusive in any way. It’s always a welcome sight to see him around, and it’s clear that he’s doing a great job keeping the property secure while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Another great thing about Tamai Tower’s location is the walkability. Since moving in last November, I’ve been able to live car-free. I haven’t had to fill up my gas tank even once in the past six months! It’s been amazing to have everything I need right at my doorstep in downtown Denver, and the location really makes it easy to get around.
I can’t thank Patrick enough for all he’s done to make my experience here so much better. He’s not just doing his job; he’s excelling at it, and it’s clear he cares about the well-being of everyone living here. If you’re considering moving to Tamai Tower, know that you’re in good hands with Patrick...
Read moreI recently visited my mother-in-law at Tamai Tower at Sakura Square, and I have to say, I was really impressed by what she’s been telling me about her experience living there. She’s been living in the building for several months now, and although she had some challenges during the initial move-in process, it’s been smooth sailing ever since the new building manager, Patrick, took charge.
She’s shared with me how frustrating things were when she first moved in—like one of the elevators being out for an extended period, parking problems, and issues with the washers and dryers. The old building manager didn’t seem to do much to help with these problems, and she was left feeling unheard and frustrated. But now that Patrick is in charge, everything has changed. She told me that Patrick is incredibly responsive, always offering his personal cell number and addressing concerns quickly. From what I’ve seen during my visit, it’s clear that Patrick goes above and beyond to ensure things run smoothly—whether it’s fixing issues with the washers, answering questions about renters insurance, or just generally taking care of the building. It's nice to hear about someone so dedicated and caring.
Another thing that stood out to me was the security guard. My mother-in-law has told me how he’s always around, patrolling the property, making everyone feel safe without being intrusive. It’s reassuring to know that the security guard is keeping a close eye on things, and he’s a friendly face you can count on.
I also noticed how well-maintained the building is. My mother-in-law has mentioned that the maintenance team has been fantastic—whenever she puts in a work request, they’re on top of it, sometimes even completing repairs the same day. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the property in great shape, and she’s always praised how courteous and efficient they are.
On top of all that, the location of Tamai Tower is unbeatable. My mother-in-law hasn’t even had to fill up her gas tank since moving in last November, and it’s been nearly six months! It’s great to see that the building’s location is so walkable and convenient, with everything she needs just a short stroll away.
From what I’ve gathered during my visit and hearing about her experiences, it’s clear that Tamai Tower has become a great place for my mother-in-law to live. With Patrick at the helm and such a responsive and friendly team around, it’s easy to see why she’s so happy here. If you’re considering moving to Tamai Tower, know that you’ll be well taken care of by a team that genuinely cares about...
Read moreDO NOT MOVE IN HERE. The complex is riddled with issues that range from minor annoyances to serious, disruptive shortcomings. One elevator is constantly broken, leaving just one for the whole complex to share (20 floors means waiting forever depending on the time of day). Washers/dryers are old and dangerous and catch fire, and will not be replaced like everything here since the property is cleared for demolition in a couple years. You’ll hear every complaint possible from tenants, be it infestations (mice), leaking ceilings/ac units, stolen property from the mail room or maintenance, and broken garbage disposals, bathroom fans, etc. and management is of little help here. The charm of living downtown is minimal, especially with a lack of security cameras that cover the front entrance. And the parking lot is reserved for baseball games during the summer so expect difficulty even with a parking pass. The list goes on, but ultimately, just find. Somewhere. Else.
EDIT: the elevators have been fixed - temporarily and will likely break again soon - but the front and back entrance key fob readers AND the call box are broken. Don’t buy into the cordial replies by the management company, they’re saving face and do not care about this place. STAY AWAY DO...
