What a gem of a cafe! This cafe was so memorable, we’re definitely coming back the next time we’re back on the Oregon Coast.

Food: 10/10. Multiple vegan options. We got the Depoe burrito, it was a little expensive, but for $20, the burrito was big enough to be a full meal for 2 persons. And it was SO GOOD. We also got the caprese sandwich and strawberry shortcake waffle a few hours later, and those were also 10/10s. ALSO they offer free refill on their drip coffees AND FREE oat milk option.

Seating: 10/10. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Beautiful views. And the cafe itself is decorated so wonderfully. There were several outlets available.

Notes: There’s no WiFi unfortunately, but there was AT&T and T-Mobile coverage, so we were able to hotspot. The staff were super kind and had no issues with us posting up in the corner from opening to closing. They had super cute framed works of art from local artists hanging on the walls that you can purchase. I was so close to buying one but unfortunately did not have space in my luggage. We did pick up a post card by one of their local artists done specifically for Whale Bites. There was a whale watching museum and tour company right next tour (Carrie & Koda) that we would’ve loved to see and potentially book a tour. But unfortunately they were...

My recent experience at Whale Bites Cafe in Depoe Bay was absolutely outstanding, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, practically right before closing, the staff's incredible hospitality shone through. We tentatively asked if we could still order, and the gentleman who greeted us was not just nice, but extremely accommodating, assuring us we were welcome. This level of top-tier service set the tone for a truly memorable meal. The food itself was nothing short of delicious. I opted for the BLT, and let me tell you, it was "fire!" Every bite was a perfect combination of fresh ingredients and expert preparation. Beyond the fantastic food and stellar service, the seating area out on the patio/deck offers a truly spectacular view. It's the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of Depoe Bay while enjoying your meal. Whale Bites Cafe delivers on all fronts: delicious food, amazing staff, and a great ambiance with an unbeatable view. Do yourself a favor and stop by – you won't be...

This is such a cute place, and the food was glorious. I had to try everything my group got. I ended up in a food coma after. The sausage gravy and biscuits were so creamy. The gravy was so good even stand alone and the biscuits didn't just soak up the gravy they were perfectly chewy and soft. My friend had that, I finished her plate. We also had the waffles, kids breakfast burrito, and the campfire PB&J. The PB&J is so amazing with all the flavors in it and the Waffles were mouthwatering with the custard and mousse. My son wouldn't share his burrito so that speaks for itself. I also really appreciated the crayons and coloring book for my 2 yo. It definitely helped me keep him occupied. I wish I was closer, I'd seriously loose my wallet eating here all the time. I haven't had food this good in Depot Bay at any time I've visited. I couldn't recommend them more. Their attention to the food aesthetic is on point, too. Can't wait to visit and try more! I saddly missed taking pictures this time but...

This review of s coming from a 60 yo guy that has been around the block. Good coffee, GREAT Wild Salmonbagel, and Harborside Sub were both excellent. We leaned more towards the Wild Salmon bagel, but the sub was no slouch either. We sat out back, with a view of the harbor, and it was a “most excellent” morning/experience. The staff was superb in their service, but again, seating is limited so be patient. Overall a “hit” in our book and we’re glad we made the trip from Lincoln City to Depoe Bay. Day two, and we drove down from Lincoln City, again, to eat here, again. Again NOT disappointed. Service, food, ambiance, all five stars. This food is WICKED flavorful! To the young gal that was face timing and treating the entire restaurant as if she was the only person on the planet, thank you for showing the rest of us how inconsiderate you are as a human. We all have our moments, but THAT screams an entitled, selfish existence. Please keep it at home or take it outside. Whale Bites, worth the drive!
