Michaels — Local services in Destin

Went in after work to find three items. I managed to find one on my own. Three or four associates walked by me and not one of them made eye contact with me or stopped to help. I tried to get their attention but it didn't work. The one associate I finally managed to get her attention and asked where something was, she told me she was new and didn't know where it was. She just stuttered and stared so I told her I would try to find it myself. I did not so I went to check out. I mentioned it to the cashier who didn't seem to be all that concerned and made no attempt to try to get me help. Won't go back there again. I'm not a crafter and I don't know my way around that store but I would have liked to have had some assistance. I have so many questions but I'll find another store to kick start my creative side. It's a shame too because they have some wonderful things in there and I would have liked to take some...

My wife and I visited this location today to find a ring sizer, and from the moment we walked into the store we felt like we were being watched/followed. While looking at the jewelry selection we noticed that the (only) employee we could see would not stop staring at us. Feeling uncomfortable, we began to leave, and this employee waited until we were through the first set of doors to ask us if we found everything alright.

It felt like she thought we were shoplifting. There's better ways to avoid shrink than this very alienating tactic, and we ended up not purchasing the product we came for (and they had in stock) because of this. We've never encountered this treatment on prior visits, but this will be our last time visiting...

Today I went to Micheal’s. I had a voucher that I wanted to use. When I approached check out I was told by the cashier at checkout 5/20/25 between 2-3pm that I could check out at self checkout,,, that wasn’t my plan. But what can I say. It was OBVIOUS she wasn’t going to help me. There was no one in line. No one was waiting. I was very upset. I couldn’t use my voucher and I couldn’t ask a question!!
