I recently received a mid-bald fade and requested an inch off the top ā instead, the barber took at least 2.5 inches without asking or clarifying. It felt like he decided to take control of the haircut on his own terms, which is not what I agreed to. The bigger issue, however, was his attitude. When I called to schedule, he hung up mid-conversation without letting me finish. I called back, stayed polite, and requested 3:30 PM for 08/19/25, which he agreed to, but the entire exchange felt rushed and unprofessional. During the actual cut, he repeatedly rolled his eyes (which a friend of mine sitting nearby noticed), and at one point deliberately jolted my head/neck in a way that felt unnecessarily aggressive. I had just finished a 12-hour work shift while balancing full-time school; the last thing I needed was to be treated with irritation and disrespect. I'm a Duluth native who just moved back from Texas, and this was one of the most unpleasant barber experiences Iāve had. It felt personal, as if he took some negative energy out on me, and thatās not acceptable in any service-based profession. Despite all that, I still tipped $15 and thanked him for fitting me in, because I value professionalism, even when it's not returned. I'll be finding another barber.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreDont know how in the world this man has got a 4.5 star rating. I went in for a simple lineup to see if he's any good and for a barber that says he completed barber schooling it's unbelievable he couldnt give me a simple lineup. I scheduled an appointment, came in on time, was respectful talking to the guy and for some reason im left with the worst linneup ive ever had. Only cost 10$ but would pay 20 if there was a way to undue it. Also the man seems to have a petulant or impetuous disposition, i found that out by the phone calls he randomly received through the 12mins i was there. I honestly think the man is sick, some type of mental...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām visiting Duluth for summer and wanted to make this my regular barber while here. After this first haircut, Iāll be going somewhere else. The owner didnāt accept my instructions, or listen in any way. In addition, he went on rants about āliberal musicians are junkiesā and blamed prior protests for lost business. Itāll take 3-4 weeks for my hair to grow back enough for someone else to fix. I really wanted to support local...
