Harbour Freight is an “it is what it is” source for tools. Rule One—You need to do your homework and choose wisely—set your expectations accordingly. Rule Two—leverage their coupons. The 20% off “one item” is a somewhat regular thing. Though sometimes you’ll see 25% off. Rule Three—If you see orange sales tags and you’re not an “ITC” (Inside Track Club) member, don’t whine when the clerk rings it up at normal price, then come here and complain. Their quick-grip clamps are pretty good for the price. Some of their other clamps are Bessey knock offs and “not bad” for about half. Again, “expectations”. I’ve not had any issues with staff at this store, they’ve all been nice and helpful. Though at another store the cashier was wifty and loading the bag with the hand scanner in his hand—shined it right into my eye. I wasn’t too keen on that move on his part and let Corporate know via email that they need additional training. They sent me an apology and a $50.00 gift card. All in all … HF is fine for...

I traveled to this location to pick up a air compressor which is a 20 miles commute from my location.I walk in the store and I grab some coupons which i though were for the general public.I walk to the counter to check out and the cashier was like where did you get those coupons you can't have those.Im like ok I guess I just grab them on the way in and didn't think it was a big deal.So I paid for stuff and went to leave the store and went to grab the coupons to take home and look at them the cashier again said you can't have those.Additionally i ask a worker if he can help me find the proper air line for the air compressor that i purchased and he just pointed and said they are over there like in supposed to know where that was?And said all air hose is 1/4 which is false.These people need to be trained better on there customer service.I mean the reality of it is I felt very disrespected...

I was shopping for a couple of workbenches for my basement workshop and found some really nice hardwood, flat packed workbenches at a very affordable price at the Norristown Harbor Freight. I asked an associate if she had them in stock. She checked and had none at this location. She went online and then found a few at other stores and she said she would ask them ship to her store.

I got a phone call about a week later telling me she had gotten in two for me. I went to pick them up and thanked the associate (I wish I had gotten her name).

When the manager rolled them up to the register, the woman found some coupons for me and saved me $60! The manager then helped me load these heavy things into my Sweet Minivan.
