Island Essentials — Local services in Emerald Isle

Wasn't very impressed with this company or their service. We were recently in emerald isle for vacation and rented a movie screen to do outdoor movie nights with the kids and 2 beach chairs. The items were to be delivered to us on the day we arrived at the beach. Nothing was delivered to us on the day we arrived. We contacted the company and they said the items were out for delivery. Around noon on day 2 of our vacation we called them back to find out where our items were. (mind you we had paid for the items to be there, and were charged for them). We were told that the chairs and movie screen were delivered to a different home on emerald isle. We were asked to go pick them up ourselves if possible. Not about to be one to trespass on another property we requested that they just deliver other items to us. They sent a delivery driver to our rental and he had to sneak onto the deck of the property to get the items we were supposed to have received 36 hours previous. We requested a refund or pro-rated rate for the items we received since we didn't have them during the time we paid for them and were given 2 options. No refund or a full refund and no items for the week. (In what world is this good or fair customer service?) The chairs that were delivered seemed sturdy but one of them broke with 2 days left in our trip. We called the company to see what they would do, and they were apologetic and offered to bring us a new chair the next day. We declined as we only had 1 day left in our trip and they were calling for rain that day. I definitely think that in the future we would rent from another company on the Isle. I would give this company zero stars if I could, as I received absolutely no service from them. I reached out to this company three times over the span of days, to which they never returned my calls or email. Do not recommend at all.

We were interested in renting beach chairs for our stay in Emerlad Isle from Island Essentials, which was recommended to us by their sister company, Emerald Isle Realty, which was a fantastic business. The Island Essentials website provides customers with a phone number to call and a "contact form" that they can fill out. I called once, nobody picked up, and I left a message with a callback number. Two days passed without a call so I dialed them again, where nobody picked up, and left another message with a callback number. I also submitted the "contact form" at this point, as it was getting close to our arrival date and wanted to ensure we had chairs. Another day passes and they still never reached out. Even while we were staying in Emerald Isle, we NEVER received a return call from Island Essentials. We were left scrambling by Island Essentials to find another outfitter for us to rent beach chairs, and used Beach Butler Rentals instead, which could provide us with chairs the day right after...

Extremely rude people who work here. They just leave random beach chairs on the beach and I waited about an hour to see if it was anyone's before sitting in it, not realizing you had to pay to sit in it. Immediately some lady comes over and is very rude telling me to get out of it. I try to explain I didn't realize you had to pay to sit in it and she just makes a face and doesn't even bother to explain how I could pay to sit in it instead she just walks off. I lay down on the ground near the chairs instead and some guy comes out collects the chairs and takes them away as if i'm going to do it again? Don't recommended doing business with a company who treats...
