I like Aldi. I had never heard of it until I moved to Fargo. They have interesting brands that I'm not used to, but the quality of almost everything is fine. The biggest obstacle is when I buy fresh fruits. I usually buy the watermelon spears, cantaloupe chunks, and mango spears for myself. For my sugar gliders, I buy blackberries, blueberries, and some frozen fruits/vegetables. The cantaloupe is the biggest problem. The expiration dates are only a few days away, but when I get home to put my groceries away, I usually want the cantaloupe later on the same day. It always smells sour & tastes too acidic. Pretty much, it's already bad. I don't like to have to go back out once I'm home for the day, so I just usually throw it away with no complaints. I have taken my fruits back only once, but that was because it was more than the cantaloupe chunks that were bad. My sugar gliders' blackberries had mold on them, another type of berries had mold on them, and the cantaloupe chunks were sour before their expiration date. I still shop there, but I have made the decision to but the fruit for my gliders from the frozen fruits section. But I love Aldi's Orange Juice with Mango. Amazing! And I hope they get the Apple Cider back. So far, it's the best non-sparkling cider I've ever had. And I buy boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts for my sugar gliders. They always have the perfect size I need for my boys. Some things are quite expensive (ice cream), so I just skip them, but hey, I...
Read moreI love this Aldi and have no complaints about the products but I witnessed an employee be extremely rude to a nice lady just asking her a question about what the cost of an item was. When the lady said she didn’t want it but wasn’t sure where to put it, the woman snatched it out of her hands with an angry look and threw it on her box cart. The woman asked “why are you so angry?!” And the worker said “I’m having a bad day!”. When I went to check out I asked for a manager to report this worker for being rude and lo and behold the woman being rude WAS the manager. I said “oh you are the manager. I just wanted to tell you that you were super rude to that lady and you don’t deserve to be a manager.” I’m appalled that this is supposed to be the person in charge of the store during their hours and this is how they treat people. I understand having a bad day, but this is your job. You should not be taking that out on your customers. The managers name is Cassie and I really think she needs to do some...
Read moreI went to Aldi’s today to pick up some groceries, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
I picked up a bag of vegetables that turned out to be rotten, so I returned it to the staff member who was stocking the shelves. She was a young lady with glasses and a distinctive eyebrow cut. Instead of acknowledging the issue or offering any apology, she took the bag from me with an impatient attitude and no response at all.
I then picked up a second bag, only to find that it was also spoiled. When I politely pointed this out to her, she again took it back with the same impatient, dismissive attitude and still did not say a word.
I understand employees can be busy, but customer service should never feel this cold or unwelcoming. I hope management can take this feedback seriously and ensure better product quality control and more respectful interaction...
