Update after two recent take-out orders in past two months.

We eat out roughly 1-2 times per month tops. The last few times, we used Acapulco because of a love for Mexican food .

My second to last meal had pulled chicken that was definitely allowed to dry out.

I gave Acapulco another chance, where could have just been rested for too long on takeout order... Besides being overcooked.

The pictures show my meal from last night, which was supposed to be carnitas asada rib-eye.

This was absolutely a mixup and the cook was likely just confused on cuts of meat where this was plain as day a Carne Asada with an over-cooked skirt steak, not a ribeye, no way.. I almost broke a metal fork while trying to slice it on a plate with a serrated steak knife.

I wouldn't have made a deal out of it with a poor review, but a skirt steak is significantly cheaper than ribeye cuts, so I paid a lot more $$* for the wrong* meal that was also over-cooked. Again, whether over rested for a short pickup order, we live 1.5 mi from the establishment, so it didn't get a long rest time. So they should be able to adjust done* temps for takeout versus dine-in restaurant orders.

Aside from these annoyances, I can't recommend eating take out from this place. We've had luck with a few burritos, chimis' and fajitas orders, but not my last two heavier meat dishes. I did eat some of my wife's sliced diced fajita sirloin, which was good at least.

Great food for the most part. Great portions otherwise.. I really wanted to keep my stellar review of this place, but our experiences have...

My husband loves to try a new Mexican Restaurant any time he can. Since we were in Fargo today we decided on this one.

I can honestly say it is not worth the time, money, or food. I am very surprised by the other reviews cause what we experienced today was nothing from what we read.

The lady who sat us at our table was very nice and kind to us. As we were looking over the menu someone brought us chips and salsa. The chips were good but the salsa was just ok nothing to ask more of. Our sever finally came to our table and by this time we were ready to order. The kids got a corn dog with fries and a cheeseburger with fries. My husband ordered the steak fajitas. Then I ordered the chicken soup and 1 beef hard shell taco.

The kids only ate the fries not wanting the corn dog or cheeseburger at all. My husband just said his fajitas were just ok nothing to go back for. My chicken soup was mainly broth and didn't taste that good at all either (Mexican Restaurant in Bemidji does it a lot better) I didn't even finish it. I took one bit from my taco and it was just gross even had my husband take a bit and he said the same thing.

I had to ask 3 different people for our bill before a 4th person came and asked me if it was all on one. I then went to go pay but had to wait once again due to not having any other bill types then $20 and $1. So I end up with a lot of ones.

I can say this is the second to worst Mexican Restaurant we have been to (Detroit Lakes has the worse by far) and will not...

A friend recommended this place, so I thought I would give it a shot. It is not easy finding good Mexican food up here in the northern states. I am sorry, but my experience was awful. The food was so disappointing. If you're going to put bacon in a dish, at least drain the grease before you just add everything else to it and dump it in a to go plate. My dinner was literally swimming in a pool of bacon grease. I couldn't taste anything else. Not the nopales, not the steak. Needless to say, the corn tortillas on the bottom were SOAKED. I could've sworn I tasted Italian seasonings, which seemed out of place and took away from the rest of the food. We also ordered an appetizer plate. The quesadilla was good, the chicken was good, but the nachos were disappointing. Maybe it was because of the chips and beans. And the rice. No flavor at all. My husband's dinner and what was described in the menu (we ordered from Grub Hub) did not match except that there was chicken wrapped in a tortilla. Needless to say, we could not finish our meal, and basically wasted $60. I wish our experience could've been like everyone else's in other the reviews, who all say their food was great 😕☹ maybe it was just a bad night in the kitchen 🤷‍♀️ it takes a LOT for me to leave a negative review, as I would never want to take away from someone's business...however, most of tonight's problems were...

I always enjoy going here for the authentic and delicious food they serve. This visit did not disappoint. The molchatje was on special and we had steak in it. The steak was all through the dish and large pieces. It was more than enough for two people to share and oh we got nachos too so yes we definitely had leftovers. We had the Chorizo nachos and they had plenty of cheese and meat. I really liked the warm homemade tortilla chips on the nachos and the free ones in a basket. However, I didn't care for the salsa. Their salsa had way too much cilantro and onions in it and the tomato sauce tasted like cheap tomato soup. The service was a bit disorganized and the restaurant was noisy. It's very clean though. Overall a good dressed down place. I always love all the tropical Mexican art and decor too. There is outdoor patio seating too but it's not quite warm enough here yet.

This place rocks, unbelievably friendly from the moment we walked in the door. We got seated immediately in a large dining room in a bright orange-sided building that looks deceivingly small from the outside. The staff is incredibly attentive, one staffer brought us chips and salsa, another drinks, and I believe our order was brought to the table by someone else possibly? We felt completely taken care of. I ordered the Carnitas De Puerco: Seasoned fried pork garnished with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. It’s served with rice, beans, tortillas (I had the flour) and guacamole. The guac was chunky and fresh, so good. Forgot to ask if they make it in house! Will definitely eat here again.
