Vaqueros Taqueria and Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Fargo

This is a very mixed review more so because I went there within the first week of the there brand new opening, I had a friend come with to get a different point of view just in case. We were both greeted very welcomely but you can feel the nervousness of the young lady taking our order and it also bet like she didn't want to be there. After a good while of waiting "because of my friend actually NOT knowing what he really wanted and asking the lady many normal questions about how they make and what's in the food the order was made very FAST, nice and hot. I ordered "Vegetarian Quesada" and my friend ordered "Traditional Ground beef Quesada. But to our eyes, it honestly looked like they just though it together which everyone knows the way food looks is half the enjoyment of it. We both also wished it was served on a better type of plate instead of paper. Needless to say, the food actually tastes SO FRICKEN GOOD! We both surprisingly inhaled the sustenance in rapid time, I don't think I ate so fast in my life, YES I WAS THAT GOOD. I may go back just to see if the food gets better. So many things to say... First the service was awful. The waitor only talked to the spanish speaking person at our table and didn't acknowledge anyone else. Very short with her even. We were a large group and one person only wanted an app and they kept coming over and pestering her to order food. One of the people who came in late kept getting bothered over and over again and rushed to hurry up and order off the menu. They clearly dont get much business trying to push dishes and drinks on people. The food was not good at all. The rice was crunchy and the refried beans were hard which means they had to have been set out awhile. The carne asada fries the meat was very chewy and the fries cold. The birra tacos we didnt even get a full cup of the sauce, just half filled and the tacos are supposed to be crispy but they were soggy. When it came to check out he put all of us on the same tab and double taxed us. The carne asada tacos were supposed to be on sale but after telling them that they said they couldnt correct it. So they showed as $13 something because they included tax in each time then added tax on the bottom of the receipt too. Definitely will not be back and do not...

This place is good to dine in thats about it. I’ve ordered a few times to go and it has only been getting worse in quality of food. I ordered 75 dollars worth of food and received food that was just disappointing. 1) I had to re heat my food since it was room temperature and 2) some dishes where just not made how they should of been. I reached out to them about the food and left my information for the owner/manager to reach out, to my surprise he never did. Its been 5 days now so sadly I will leave this review. I forgot to take a picture of the quesabirria tacos but they were not fried they were more like steamed. My tortillas to my birria soup were non edible aside from the stuff on them, they were stuck together and I could not rip them apart. I also ordered no tomatoes on my fries and received tomatoes and 2 pieces of meat woth bacon bits or crumbs as you can see in the picture. I do have a video of those tortillas being non edible for the owner if he decides to reach out after this review. So I would not order food to go from here in my opinion, its better to dine in because the quality is...
