I am extremely disappointed with the operation of the Andrew's Ave Bridge. The posted bridge operation hours clearly state that the bridge is not supposed to go up between 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, yet the bridge operator seems to completely ignore these rules. I have experienced multiple instances where the bridge goes up during these restricted hours, causing massive traffic backups and delays. This is pure incompetence and a total disregard for the rules that are in place to ensure smooth traffic flow during peak hours. It’s frustrating and unacceptable. The operator needs to adhere to the posted hours or be replaced by someone who can manage this properly. Get it together!

I am frustrated with Andrews Ave. bridge in Fort Lauderdale. According to the posted schedule, the bridge should not open to allow boats to pass from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m according to city website to ensure smooth car traffic. However, during my commute today, the bridge opened for boat transit at 8:35 AM. This caused a major traffic jam, leaving drivers stranded and delaying everyone. The whole point of having specific hours is to prevent exactly this kind of disruption, so why was the schedule ignored? This is not just an inconvenience; it’s a failure in managing the bridge properly.

I would like to lodge a protest against the incompetent bridge operator who is running this bridge Monday through Friday! The posted bridge hours of operation clearly state that the bridge is not supposed to go up between 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Yet every weekday the bridge is up between 8:30am and 9:00am causing massive traffic jams! When I leave work at 5:30 again, the bridge is up again causing a traffic jam! Is it too much to expect the bridge operator be able to...
