I have experienced multiple instances where the bridge goes up during these restricted hours, causing massive traffic backups and delays. According to the posted schedule, the bridge should not open to allow boats to pass from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m and 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m according to city website to ensure smooth car traffic. However, during my commute today, the bridge opened for boat transit at 8:35 AM.
