Last night, I had an order totaling around $25 from Charley's on White Settlement Rd., which I ordered pretty close to closing time. In a rush to get back home, I accidentally spilled my drink inside the bag containing our freshly made sandwiches, which were now 100% saturated. I quickly sped back to the restaurant only to be confronted by a locked door. I was furious with myself.
I decided to try my luck with knocking on the door and explaining my situation to see if anything could be done. A gentleman named Randall saw there was something wrong, and he quickly ran up to the door and unlocked it to see what I needed. I explained to him that it was totally my fault and that I ruined my food, not them. Before I could say another word, the cashier that had taken my order, Melanie, had come to assist as well.
After a very quick chat, Randall and Melanie invited me to step back inside the restaurant, where they informed me that they were going to turn the appliances back on, and remake my entire order.....and remember, this was AFTER they were closed.
This is an establishment that knows how to operate, plain and simple. They clearly employ people who care about the company, and this was exemplified by the awesome level of customer service I was given. I was truly blown away by their immediate actions, and i would DEFINITELY give them 10 stars if possible. And I didn't even go into how good the food is! Always fresh ingredients with lots of attention to details. Outstanding presentation! They got the sauce wrong on my wings and the only thing that was offered in order to make this right was for me to now drive to the location and pick up the correct wings. It’s very annoying that the only option inconveniences the customer for a mistake that the company made. It’s pretty sad even when speaking to the manager on duty she asked me if I had all flats, which yes I did then proceeded to make the comment “so Just the sauce is wrong.” Which makes me feel like my issue with the order being incorrect is not taken seriously. I get it it’s just wings but let me tell you this is not a good first impression for a customer who’s never eaten at this establishment before. Can’t even comment about how the food taste because I Did not like the sauce on the Parmesan fries that I ordered. So I don’t see myself eating these Parmesan wings. If you do order from here I would suggest going to the location yourself and picking it up and ensuring that whoever is in charge of packing and checking the orders has your order correct. One reason is I find some beef at some of these places is kind of hard to chew and if you followed me you'll know a place I talked about I really love the place but the beef is too hard to chew I haven't heard from anybody here if the beef is sliced or if it's shaved and if it was tender or not. That would cause me to go in and try a Philly cheesesteak since I'm from Ohio and have been to the places in Pennsylvania and others that have cheesesteak on the menu and have not been disappointed, especially with the aux jus dipping but I've not been to Charlie's. Also, the price seems steep in comparison to Jerseys Mike's similar sandwich.
