This is always my go-to Starbucks location..... so I’m really disappointed in tonight’s experience. There’s a certain employee that’s always kinda of rubbed me the wrong way but I don’t pay any mind to it. This said employee was rude for HIS own wrong doings. Now, I’m not one to be a “Karen” and complain and honestly never leave reviews anywhere I go but this was kinda of the last straw type of deal. I came inside the store instead of the drive through because the drive through was busy, hoping to get my coffee faster. There were several groups inside once I got there- no biggie. This employee called out “triple” 3 times. No name... no actual drink name.. just triple. I’ve got a toddler with me that I’m trying to keep up with so she’s not a disturbance to other guests, mind you. I finally was over it so I asked him if they had my coffee ready yet because at this point it’s been 20 minutes (and I’m fed up). He BEYOND RUDELY said “well I called it out like 4 times and you weren’t listening” so I just stared at him blankly in shock of his tone and facial expressions. He said “you’ve got the triple, right?” I said well I got a coffee with one shot in it (I don’t work at Starbucks?? Is that what they call a triple because a coffee with one shot seems like it’d be a double??) he said “that’s your coffee”, slides it to me, and it’s nearly cold at this point. I said ok well how long has it been sitting here? He said “um I mean I called it out and you weren’t listening but I guess I can make you a new one”. I told him ya know what, it’s fine. I’ve gotta go- you’re good man. I didn’t want to be ugly and I was annoyed enough that I know my words wouldn’t be kind or productive, so it was time to go. Pick and chose your battles folks. The T O N E of this dude... I was trying to be really nice and empathetic since they were busy, and I also work service industry so understand the stress allllll too well. So don’t be rude to me over trying to be a polite patron.
To the GM of this location- make sure the employees know to call out the actual DRINK NAME. Us patrons are not employees, we don’t know that a coffee with one shot is apparently called a triple. Ya know what they say though, ya learn something new every day. I’ll just order all my drinks as a triple and let the odds be ever in their favor to figure out which one I mean. As far as service goes, you’re amazing and always working hard to help your team provide smooth service :) Good on you girl!!
Both cashiers were incredibly kind, those ladies deserve to be acknowledged for that! :) kuddos to you ladies. The one with bangs seemed like she was new possibly and she’s doing a great job as a newer team member! Also- the dude with blue hair is the coolest ever. Everytime I go to the drive through, he’s always so happy and kind! Always enjoy seeing him when I grab my coffee :)
To the team as a whole- you guys were working really hard tonight and did amazing! Be proud of yourselves, most don’t understand the stress that the job comes with and each of you were kicking butt tonight so be dang proud of yourselves :) the parking lot was full, drive thu line wrapped around the building... busy busy night for you and I applaud how well you all worked as a team! Keep kicking butt y’all.. I’ll see...
Read moreIf you use drive in window, you will get your order 2x + faster than me waiting at the bar (unless you order ahead on phone). It's like a drive in movie for me -- I'll see you from the coffee bar inside thru the windows as you drive your car to the back of the line. And walla! 5 minutes later I'll see you pick up your order thru the pickup window. And that's after I've already been waiting 10 and and still waiting for my order.
If you're in a plaid dress or a school uniform with 10 chums who all call in order, go for it. You'll make me mysteriously have to wait another 10 min at the coffee bar.
If your posh and order coffee on line you'll be be eons ahead of a senior like me who hasn't yet caught up with all the latest "get ahead" gadgets. And you make me have to wait an extra minutes for each one of you who jumps in front of me. It's not your fault. It's like pay phones that don't exist any more, either you pay $100 a month for cell, instead of $5 in quarters for the pay phone, or you do without.
Their "Do U need receipt" system is great, but ONLY if youre BOLD and defiant and say YES OR INSIST if they forget to ask. That way you can check your order as you wait instead of 3 miles down the road. (Do this even if you order something simple that's not even a custom drink that has 5 superlatives in its name).
Wear orange with white polka dots, Elton john glasses and a green lizard hat so they'll notice you've been waiting and your order is floating somewhere up in the clouds, which has happened to me frequently.
Overall, the White Settlement Starbucks is super superb and deserves 6 or 8 stars instead of 5, it ranks up there with the most classy of joints. Unfortunately they do need to bear down on the old timers and change the Town's name from White Settlement to something...
Read moreGood morning, I’m taking a little time out to share an experience at my local Starbucks this morning. I went through the drive thru, where Joel served me my coffee. I put my phone out the window to have him scan the app for points, which I assumed he did because I heard the scanner make the sound. I then paid for my coffee. While waiting for my second coffee I continued to look through the Starbucks app. I noticed the points number didn’t change. When Joel returned to the window I asked him why didn’t the number change on the app. Joel asked me to repeat myself which I did. Joel responded well did you tell me to scan it. I replied yes I put my phone out the window so you can scan it. Joel then asked again my concern. I stated again that the points are changing on the app. After a few times repeating my question Joel finally replied saying “ it takes about 30 minutes to 24 hours for your points to update. “ I replied oh ok thank you, and began to drive off. As I’m driving away with my window still down I hear Joel release a disgruntle ugh with a god remark. As if my question was unreasonable or annoying. Now what Joel doesn’t know is that I am fairly new with having the app and I am still learning how the app works. I found this experience with Joel very disappointing, disturbing, rude, impolite, and not of the experience of the Starbucks employees I’ve seen before! I will not be returning to that location due to Joel’s unprofessionalism and...
