Waffle House — Restaurant in Fort Worth

A one star for this eating establishment is indeed a compliment as the condition of this place at the time of day was at the very best appalling. Most all of the booths were littered with dirty dishes and the floor looked as if it had not been mopped in quite some time and there were littered with food bits that had been walked onto and ground in. The counter person took my order, attempted to get my water when he looked into the glass and poured the contents out while shaking his head and got another glass filled with ice and placed it in front of me. He placed my silverware in front of me and the fork was contaminated with a foreign substance. He took my order and about that time a pair of COCK ROACHES crawled up onto the counter surface advancing towards me about a foot from where I was sitting at the counter. I removed my hat and swatted the vermin swore and turned around and left while the other two customers sitting at the counter as well as the cook and counter person laughed. All I could think of after I left was that the last time I ate there 2 days prior and became terribly sick within an hour after eating there. My recommendation would be that this place should be shuttered and the Management should be immediately TERMINATED for failure to maintain ANY type of cleanliness whatsoever. On previous occasions I foolishly entered the restroom to wash my hands and the smell was overwhelming. Needless to say I did not wash my hands and removed one of my alcohol wipes from my diabetic test kit to cleanse my hands prior to eating. I highly advise anyone to find ANYWHERE ELSE to grab a bite as this place is so filthy and disgusting you SHOULD BE concerned for you safety if you choose to eat there. I stopped in for some To-Go food and my experience was not great at all !! Apparently it was shift change . One of the waitresses was holding a dog . Ugh... No way ! I was ready to order my food and my cook came up and i had to ask the waitress to ask him to wash his hands ! He's the boss as well...BIG PAPA... What? Yup. So he does .. No problem. So he's cooking and remember it's clean up time so he grabs a tall cup full of dirty egg shells that have been collecting on the side and puts his hand right on top of the shells and bangs it against the trash can ! Gloves contaminated ! Now he grabs the bacon for my burger and went on .. Veronica another waitress comes to help .. Between the two they both burnt everything ! Thanks . So i wasn't walking out spending 30$ with burnt food . My hashbrown was nasty and tasted tangy. While veronica was remaking my food she was laughing and smirking bc she thought she was cute ! NO darlin that's not professional and unacceptable!!!!! Dani , my waitress was nice ! She was very apologetic and didn't find it funny either.. I still tipped her good ... It's not her fault her boss can't cook. !!!!! So instead of remaking my whole order , i went home with cold soggy food ! I told my family when we sat down to eat to pray for their stomachs. My husband and I went to Waffle House for breakfast. We arrived at 11am on Sunday morning and we were thinking it would be really crowded, but we were wrong. I pulled right into a parking stall. It was plenty of room to park, and they have Handicap ♿️ parking as well. We walked right in and there was a booth available in front and we sat right down. Our waitress came right away and greeted us, and asked what we would like to drink. She brought our drinks and took our orders. My husband and I ordered the same dishes which was the All Star Special, and that dish has eggs, grits, toast,sausage, and waffles. That's perfect for the low cost of $9.75!! It's a great deal of food. I had so much, I had to ask for a container to take the rest home! My husband also had coffee ☕️ for $2.50 a cup. We received our breakfast rather quickly. The waitress was very polite and helpful. I think the restaurant could be a little more cleaner. Unfortunately the floor underneath our table had food all on the floor and other booths as well. It appears that maybe some of the booths were taken out because there were not that many booths in this particular Restaurant 🤔. I gave 4 stars because I felt for the amount of booths in there that the place could be a bit cleaner. The food was ok. It is also kid friendly with high chairs and boosters for children that needed them. I would definitely recommend visiting...
