Snowdance Sports — Local services in Four Corners States

As with most businesses in Summit county there is regular turnover of employees. I have no idea what the guy’s name was that we dealt with but he was probably the most unfriendly person I have ever dealt with in the 35 years I have had a ski place in Summit County. The only good thing I have to say about this place is they got us in and out of there quickly.

The equipment they had was old and not very good quality. My daughter set up the reservation for her boyfriend for 2 days as part of his birthday gift. When I asked for a specific ski that I saw on the rack for him the guy just ignored me and set up another pair with no conversation.

My daughter's boyfriend had never skied before in his life. He had a hard time the 1st day and was too tired and sore to ski the second day. We attempted to return the skis early and get a refund for the second day. We were told tough luck and they wouldn't even give her back $5. The skis were returned with plenty of time to rent them to someone else. The racks of skis were so full I guess they decided they didn't care about good customer service or "doing the right thing" and just wanted to keep the money.

The same guy that checked us out was the one that checked us back in. He was a total A-Hole and could care less that he was ripping off a young lady. I have used many rental shops over the years for friends and guests and have never been treated this way before.

Bottom line: If poor customer service, old lousy equipment, off site inconvenience and total jerks to work with is worth saving 2 or 3 dollars to you then this is the perfect place for you. I will never step into this shop again and will tell everyone who will listen to go to any other place on the planet than this rip off shop. We were in a pinch and they had us all fixed up in no time!

We were in from out of town and had brought our seasonlong rental ski equipment from elsewhere. On day one of skiing, my little guy complained that his boots were way too tight.

We dropped by at Snowdance Sports and ten minutes later he was in comfortable boots, with skis adjusted to the new boots. Extremely reasonable price, too. Back to the slopes in no time!

We just got into town and wanted to stop into a ski shop to get our boards waxed before the next day and we didn’t realize they were already closed but the guy who worked there stayed after hours to wax our boards and was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions!
