I dont normally write reviews however sometimes you have to point out comments so that others can be made aware and act accordingly. I am 53 years old from Miami Florida and I have been skiing for the last 10 years. I have stayed at Steamboat initially but the last 6 years its been at Keystone booked via Summit Cove. Summit Cove has been wonderful and extremely helpful, accommodating, you name it they were there. Whether it was letting us get into the Condo earlier or staying in the condo a few hours after check out. Just really nice friendly helpful staff.
The last two ski seasons my brother and I were unable to ski due to work and family constraints. Recently we agreed to go back for the 2019 and proceeded to contact Summit Cove.. They have online a "Message us" option to which I wrote to them and never heard back. A few weeks ago they were running a discounted rate and since I had not heard back from my message I decided to call them. My brother and I were taken back on the price increase for the rooms. As I mentioned, we have been skiing at Keystone and staying with Summit Cover for many years consecutively always paying an extremely reasonable nightly rate. The rates we are seeing for this 2019 season are 60% more than what we have been paying years past. I have stayed at Silver Mills Black Bear Jack Pine and The Springs. All were 2 Bedroom 2 Bath. There have been no improvements to the River Run Area or the Condos to have warranted such and enormous price hike. At first the agent said it was the days I was picking. My brother and I have always stayed the second week of February. Always staying clear of Valentines or Presidents day just to keep holiday travels out. Summit Cove first told me the price increase was because in this case either Valentines or Presidents were affecting our rates. So I changed them to the week before or the week after and the price increase was negligible. I pleaded my concern to the agent and the agent spoke to upper management and they granted me a courtesy discount. Even with that courtesy discount the price is still $100 more per night than what we have stayed previously. We were planning to say 6 nights so thats $600 more than expected for nothing better. The condos are still the same and the River Run Area has had no improvements in years. I just cannot understand why such a price increase. Obviously I did not book and again I tried to message the center hoping it would be read by someone and give me some kind of response. I am still waiting. So the purpose of my review is to hopeful catch the eyes of other renters or condo owners so that other people can question the price increase and maybe go back to the system they had before. Obviously you have been in business for many years and to get to this point you must be doing something well. Yes Skiing is an expensive sport but there is no justification why rates would jump 60% just because. I encourage those who are reading this review to challenge the price increase. Maybe together we can create enough concern for condo owners and the management team to reconsider this increase.
I give 3 stars because the good is not outweighing the bad. Three years ago I would have given a full 5 star when you were clearly getting your moneys worth. I am giving 3 because Twice I have not gotten a formal reply to my written message via their website.
The other comment I want to leave is regarding the accommodations themselves. As I mentioned my earliest experience was at Steamboat. We stayed at The Emerald Lodge part of the Trappers resort handled by now Wyndham. To us that is the BAR set. Ever since we started skiing at Keystone and River Run condos they have not come close to quality and appearance. As I mentioned I have stayed at several Condos and all are about the same. Nowhere near the quality and appearance of the Emerald Lodge but I was paying 1/2 of Steamboat pricing. For two brothers who dont care about accommodation All river Run Condos were just priced right for what we...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo in the Silver Mill building at River Run Village in Keystone, CO, and it was an exceptional experience. If you’re looking for a well-located, comfortable, and spacious place to stay for a ski trip, this condo offers it all.
Location: 5/5 The biggest selling point of this condo is undoubtedly its prime location. Situated just a short walk from the River Run gondola, you can be on the slopes within minutes of stepping out the door. This convenience was a game-changer, especially after a long day of skiing, when the thought of a quick stroll back to the condo after a great day on the mountain felt like a luxury. River Run Village itself is full of lively shops, restaurants, and après-ski options, making it easy to grab a meal or drink without having to go far.
Condo Interior: 4.5/5 The condo is warm, inviting, and well-appointed. The living area is spacious, with a cozy fireplace that adds a nice touch of comfort after a cold day on the slopes. The open concept layout connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas, making it perfect for socializing with family or friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, and plenty of counter space—ideal for preparing meals if you want to save a bit on dining out.
The two bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, with the master featuring a king-sized bed and a private bathroom with a large soaking tub, which is perfect for unwinding. The second bedroom has two twin beds and is equally comfortable, with easy access to the second full bathroom. Both bathrooms are modern and clean, with ample storage for your personal items.
Amenities: 5/5 Silver Mill offers a range of amenities, including an outdoor hot tub and heated pool that are perfect for relaxing after a day on the mountain. There's also a fitness center and a spacious lobby area where you can hang out or meet other guests. The building has a ski locker room for storing gear, which is incredibly convenient for those of us who don’t want to drag skis and snowboards through the condo.
Additional Considerations: One thing I particularly appreciated was the ease of access to all of Keystone’s amenities, including ski rentals, lift tickets, and ski schools, which are all available right within River Run Village. The condo building itself is well-maintained, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful during our stay.
Conclusion: 4.75/5 Silver Mill is a fantastic option for those looking for a ski-in, ski-out experience in Keystone. The condo itself is well-designed and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be more ideal. Whether you're here for skiing, snowboarding, or just want to enjoy the charming village atmosphere, this condo makes for a memorable and convenient stay. Highly recommended for families or groups who want both comfort and convenience during their...
Read moreMy overall experience with the stay at this vacation Was unsatisfactory. Multiple small and big things happened during this vacation that made my stay uncomfortable. Some of these things are out of the hands of the owner or the management company such as the construction around the property, but other things such as equipments in the unit, handling issues when it comes to repairs and charges for staying an extra 1.5 hrs. This stay is by far the worst experience I ever had at Summit Cove vacations in the last four years, including Covid time. On a scale of 1 to 10 I will definitely give it one. on the other hand, Keystone Resort was great in providing great skiing experience as usual. After this vacation, I will have to think twice before contacting Summit Cove vacation management company. It’s time for other competitors to step in such as sky run or similar management companies. I also noticed bad attitude from some employees at SUMMIT Cove. The majority of employees are pleasant and are willing to work with the issue at hand however, others are rigid, offensive and disrespectful. for example, one of the managers responded to me “ if you don’t want to stay with SUMMIT Cove again we understand” I supposed to other employees that will respond more appropriate and welcoming than this. This is my first time staying at red Hawk 2281 unit and will be the last. I also would like to give credits to the Maintanence guys because they were courteous, pleasant and respectful while doing the work, despite the fact that the problem was not repairable . By the way, I was given a $500 credit for not having a working hot water in the master bathroom . I would also like to embrace the reservation crew that made the reservation on the phone for my stay as that process went smooth without issues. Last , I had to stay an extra one Hour and a half past my time, Due to the issues with the hot water, and getting ready before the travel, someone showed at the door, questioning why we were late. Instead of being understanding or courteous, he was very rude and offensive with looks and words. not to mention that I got charged an extra $150 for the hour and a half extra time plus $50 for...
