I don't usually do reviews but unfortunately I was incredibly disappointed with our experience here. The restaurant came highly recommended but I think that was from a previous owner because it has definitely changed! I came with my family to celebrate my 55th birthday. I was so excited and made reservations as soon as we arrived in town. When we arrived we did not have a wait, they had our table ready, I was impressed and thought maybe it was as going to be as good as I was told. Once we were seated the waiter came and immediately began pushing alcoholic beverages which I declined 3 times due to a person in the party trying to recover from alcoholism. It was an incredibly uncomfortable situation and I do not feel like alcohol should be pressured. Ask once and when declined, don't ask again. The majority of the table ordered steak and a couple added the lobster and crab legs. I have had bad experiences with lobster and was reassured that the chef knew how to cook it, that I would not be disappointed. The lobster was very tough, chewy and overcooked. The crab was very small portion for the cost and had a strange taste to it. Not one of us were happy with the steak. There was no flavor at all and they were overcooked. I understand why they recommend the garlic butter for the top, although it did not help. The first complaint was ignored then on the second complaint the steak was removed by the waiter from the table. The waiter said he was going to talk to the chef. Thought they were going to recook the steak or something but nothing else was said until the bill was brought with no adjustments and no corrections to the food. Once the complaint was brought back up the waiter said too much of the steak was eaten....only 2-3 bites were gone. From other reviews I have read it seems like this is the pattern for this restaurant. Customer service should be a priority, but unfortunately, the owner/ managers arrogance is more important. Their defensive and aggressive responses to any negative review says it all about how they handle complaints. Also beware when you are hostess stand. The bar doors swing in and you can easily become injured from the people...
Read moreMediocre food, high prices, poor service. This restaurant has two sides to it, one is a low light classy style steakhouse and the other is a bar with appropriate style foods. This review will cover the steakhouse side. The menu had a decent amount of options, but were a bit on the expensive side. (The Kansas City Strip with one side was around $33.00 and a 12-ounce Coors Light was $6.00) my group of six placed our drink orders and upon making our dinner orders were informed that they would not split our ticket up, but they would except multiple forms of payment if we would just tell them how much to charge on each card. After our order was placed our waitress only came back twice after that, and any other refills were made by a different waitress that was passing by. The food was very disappointing as the steaks were over cooked and very bland. I don’t think they even used salt and pepper to season them. They were advertised as being covered with sautéed mushrooms and actually served there were only three to five small whole mushrooms on the side. Another party member ordered a half rack of ribs that were extremely dry. After we received our check and began to divide up the bill ourselves so we could tell them how much to charge each or our cards, the waitress came by back and informed us that she also added 18% gratuity to our check due to our large group of six. (This is common, but usually for groups of 8 or more) our bill was nearly $300.00 for four steaks, coconut shrimp, a half rack of ribs and some beers. We waited for around 6 minutes for our waitress to pickup our check, before the manager came by and took it up. Our bad experience here was disappointing after reading a few of the good local review. If you read deeper into them, you’ll find more like this. If you are wanting have a good steak dinner, I would recommend looking into other...
Read moreThe worst experience. Went here for my husband's birthday and the waiter would not stop touching me everytime he came to our table. Asked multiple times for "Mr. Summit County" to stop touching me. Forgot to bring drinks for the kids, didn't bring our added shrimp, then argued and said we didn't order it, even though we most definitely did. Then when it came time for the checks, he couldn't get our checks split properly, we had to have another employee fix them. Then our waiter apparently dropped our cards in the kitchen and came out to straighten it out, and the proceeds to charge ONE CARD FOR BOTH BILLS. When we went to the manager about all of this we were told he is "Mr. Summit County and everyone loves him and he's so nice".... that does NOT mean you touch someone without consent after being asked not to. We did not receive a refund, an apology or a respectful response from the Manger who told us "you just need to leave, it's been voided and I don't have a record to provide you" absolutely embarrassing, disgusting environment. Thank you for ruining my husband's birthday dinner and showing no regard for your paying customers. Would NEVER recommend this place. They do not care about their customers.
Edit to the response: We did not flag down the manager, we flagged down an employee for our missing things. We did not ask for our meals to be written off by management until HE SPECIFICALLY ASKED what we wanted done after CHARGING to split the check, forcing a gratuity and then being a creep, you'd think the waiter could AT LEAST run a card correctly. That's not a mistake. That's being careless. This place is a joke, the doors weren't slammed, I slipped because you don't treat the ice outside your doors. Disgusting treatment of customers and tacky responses to an honest review just show what type of people you are. Have a...
