BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE My husband rented from them before and experienced minor issues. Nothing major, so we thought - maybe it will be fine. Nope. They're so big they don't care. Once they have your money, good luck getting help or service from them. It's like it's run by a bunch of teenagers that couldn't care less. If I could give them zero stars or less, I would. We stayed in a SkiTip unit in Keystone.
We rented this specific unit because the hot tub was right behind it. We were notified 16 days before check in that the hot tub would be closed for maintenance. I called & asked if we could be moved to another unit or property with a hot tub in walking distance. We were even willing to pay more for a different unit or location, & she asked for 24-48 hours to see what she could do. When I called back, a young man told me that they won't change reservations within the 30 day window of check in. He acknowledged that they only told us 16 days prior to check in but told us- it is what it is and blamed the HOA. I asked if we could get a discount or credit since this was why we picked this unit & he said no. We were stuck with it & instead we could drive 5 minutes away to another property's hot tub.
I texted and asked if we could possibly check in early because we landed in Denver around 8am, and their response was to send another copy of the automated text about checking in 4:30pm with a link to the instructions. They couldn't even be bothered to say someone was in the unit (according to the calendar there wasn't anyone before us) or anything human despite the fact that I was texting someone human just a few days ago.
When we got there the wifi info was incorrect as was most of the information on the sheets posted in the unit. I sent a quick text to ask what the correct information was and they didn't get back to us until mid morning the next day after my husband called to try to get a response. So.. no work emails, etc.. bc the phone service there is spotty. Check in isn't until 4:30 and apparently they all clock out at 4:35.
There's no garage door opener. You're required to park your small car in the garage or go find a shared parking space on the property. So every time you come home, you have to get out of your car, go in the house, open the garage, get back into your car, and pull it in the garage. Also- only a compact car will fit. The way the units are arranged, you cannot park in front of your unit.
The floors & living room furniture were filthy. We had to wear socks & shoes so the bottoms of our feet wouldn't turn black. It hasn't been properly scrubbed or mopped in a very long time. The sofa arms were filthy & the overall furniture needs cleaning.
The master bed was clean, however it was like sleeping on a brick wrapped with an egg crate. It was hard as a rock. The pillows were so lumpy & worn out we had to take pillows off of another bed.
The last day we decided to pack up our stuff to drive to the hot tub 5 minutes down the road at the Dakota. Other than "go use the hot tub at the Dakota" we were not given any other instructions. When we got there, we couldn't get in. A key card was required & there weren't any key cards at our rental. We called and they said they would have a card over to us in less than 30 minutes. We waited over an hour and no one showed. Also, all of the parking around the building is for 15 minute parking only. You have to park in a lot in front of the resort and walk all the way down to the hot tub behind the Dakota lodge.
We went home to shower for plans that evening, and someone came into our rental while we were upstairs showering and left the key cards. It was very clear we were home bc we parked in front of our rental (where you're not supposed to park) and I cannot believe someone just walked in. They didn't knock on the door or even call us. We didn't know someone was in the unit until we saw the cards hanging there!!...
Read moreAfter receiving 5 texts from the management company reminding us of our 4:30pm check in time, (Lakeshore Unit # 1553) while on our way from the airport, we received an updated message saying that check out would be changed to 5:30pm (an hour later) because the cleaning crew was running behind. That was the start of our "inconveniences". After we were finally allowed to check in, we sat down on the sofa, felt a draft coming from the window and noticed that someone had stuffed paper towels in the window frame in an attempt to keep the cold air from coming in. Blinds are broken and windows do not completely close and lock) We attempted to turn on the gas fireplace to find out that all of the nobs/buttons/controls had been removed. In a nut shell, management said that it would not be working during our 4 night stay. We then decided to put on our bathing suits and head to the hot tub. After the walk there, we find note on one of the chairs stating "sorry for the inconvenience but the hot tub was being worked on". Three "inconveniences"/disappointments within the first few hours there. The LVP flooring pops and cracks when walked on and some sort of sand or dust comes out of the joints and cracks. It's terrible. The first night, we tried to sleep on the bed but there is a foam topper (not even sure its meant for beds) that made the bed so soft that it was painful to sleep on, so we slept on the sofa. Management said they could not please everyone since there are different preferences for mattress, which is true BUT- to please the masses per say, they would be smart to go with one that a majority likes rather than one that is too soft. The second night we removed the foam on the bed, hoping our sleeping would be an improvement, but it was not. Overall, we had terrible sleep at the condo, the fireplace did not work at all in our unit, and hot tub did not work for 2 out of our 4 nights , floors made terrible noise, windows broken, and in general, nothing was done by management at all. They offered less than a $50 refund after our stay but then once we left a review- they said no refund will be given because we left a review. Unethical company! Wish we had researched this better before booking with them. *the resort was almost dead when we stayed- definitely not a busy time at all. the floors- we knew the only fix for the floors was for them to be pulled out and reinstalled * we have text to prove as we asked them come fix the fireplace immediately upon arrival but they would not. it turned out that the fireplace wasn't even functional, with no nobs, buttons, hardware etc. we sent videos of our findings to the management...
Read moreThe house we rented in Keystone was beautiful and well stocked with all the necessary items needed. Unfortunately they fell short after that. We arrived late on Monday August 4th. We all came from all over the country for our annual family vacation. We picked this house carefully for outdoor space, the grill and of course the big hot tub. On Tuesday the 5th we were in Breckenridge the entire day and came back to home to eat dinner and soak in the Hot Tub. I ( the renter ) did not go in the hot tub but went to sleep. I found out the next morning that the hot tub was smelly and dirty and my adult married children did not stay in the hot tub for long and just went to bed. I learned the next morning that they were unable to soak because of its condition. We had reservations for kayaking and paddle boarding the next day on Lake Dillon, so I decided to contact them after that. I took a bunch of photos and asked them to please send someone out. They responded and said someone was coming the next day to attend to it. They even texted me the next morning and said someone was coming to fix it. No one ever came. My husband stayed at the rental all morning to meet them. No call, no text, no show. I contacted them that mid afternoon and they said NO ONE was coming because they had another emergency to tend to. Needless to say that was the biggest disappointment for us. We were unable to use the hot tub at all and basically they didn’t care. The assistant manager was extremely rude to my husband every time he called. Then they sent me some (BS) photo with a time stamp claiming it was cleaned the day before we checked in. I asked for compensation of some sort on an almost $4000 rental and they offered me $97. What a joke! They was we were dismissed and pacified when we called was so disappointing. I’d look to another company when renting in this area. Also, my granddaughter ( 3) almost got seriously hurt when she sat on a small stool in the living room. It completely collapsed under her with two legs giving way. After looking at it we realized it was previously broken and reattached with 3 inch drywall screws. She was scratched all along her arm with the screws that were not intended for furniture. Please know we have an impeccable rental record with over a decade of being great renters on airbnb. Whatever they come up with as the response will indeed be false. I waited too long, It was clean before we got there etc etc. We are very familiar with hot tubs and rented only for 4 nights. That kind of filth doesn’t happen in a few days. Photos don’t lie. This is fair warning to anyone looking to rent in this area. I may update with more...
