Have never been thrown out of a bar in my life until this place. The lady in charge threw me out for standing on the stairs going up to the “private” room and doing work business on the phone trying to find a quiet place. Tried to explain that I wasn’t going upstairs and just was trying to to handle things and she prompted a large bouncer to push me, with my hands in my pockets and then behind my back backwards in an extremely unsafe manner down the stairs and down all the stairs out the door and ignore the explanations and questions for why I was being thrown out that I had. I suppose they assumed I was like the rest of the people they over-serve and highly inebriate in the name of profit on a regular basis and need that forcefulness to maintain order (which would give you an idea of the establishment they are running, what local dive bar has 2-3 bouncers kicking patrons out into the 15 degree night?). Highly unprofessional, even for a cheap rough local bar, which is certainly my type of place. Have never experienced a place with the utmost disrespect for its patrons and do not recommend, despite its close proximity to the slopes, anyone to attend for any reason at all. After being kicked out my wife and colleagues were told they could pay $20 by the same lady to get back in no matter if they were there for a private party. I recommend the liquor store next door if you’d like a drink and to enjoy a nice quiet place not full of over served tourist and...
Read moreEasily the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life. They have not adapted to covid-19 protocols well at all. Rude service from the hostess. We were put in a room with two tables and ours was right next to the register where they are constantly answering the phone and placing orders. It was 5 degrees outside and they refused to close the door because the kitchen workers might get hot? I don’t see where you are required to keep a door open for covid? I love dive bars. This does not have that feeling. It’s more like a place where they are upset they have to be there and god forbid they cater to their customers. I wish I had tried it when it was wasn’t covid just to hope that it had more of that local relaxed vibe. So disturbed by the whole experience. Please go to dos locos across the street or snake river saloon or Haywood cafe or pizza 101 or really anything else just to uphold your dignity as a...
Read moreSo this place is kind of like a local dive bar and we came on our last night in town hoping to avoid all the crowds and waits. I think this was my favorite place of the long President's day weekend (and I'm not really a dive bar kind of gal). The food was absolutely amazing. Especially the wrap, the pierogies and the green chicken chili waffle fries. I really was not expecting it! Drinks were decent and cheap compared to other places in the area. We were in the left side where kids were allowed because our 13 yo daughter was with us and she did not want to leave and did not get on her phone once. She had the best time playing fussball! The service was excellent. We had all the servers, they just kept circling and checking on us. We were well taken care of! I see why this place had such high reviews compared to other places. Even the patrons were friendly. You won't be disappointed...
