My wife and I were very excited about touring the Texas wine country and seeing the town of Fredericksburg. Unfortunately, the excitement was short lived. Our guide was over an hour and a half late picking us up from San Antonio. Our "Diamond" tour was suppose to start at 1130 am but did not actually start until after 1230 because the driver hauled a** from San Antonio to the Fredericksburg. Our tour included a "lunch at a local restaurant on Main Street, Fredericksburg" which was a lie. We were provided a turkey sandwich box lunch at our first winery. Really providing us the "Diamond" experience right? Then while going with the flow and trying to enjoy our already rocky experience we are monitored by the guide sitting behind us and tells us that we have to leave soon while pointing at his watch, because being behind schedule is our fault??? Basically rushing us to swallow our lunch. What followed was more of the same at the remaining 3 wineries us trying to enjoy all the guide close by letting us know it was time to go. When leaving our final winery I asked the guide about the possibility of seeing Main Street as we were promised on the website. Mind you, it is only around 5 pm on a tour that has started over an hour late and the website says you will be taken back to your lodging between 530 and 630. You would think the guide would have no issue as the delays were not our fault and we were just asking for some of what we were promised from the website. Wrong Again!!! He pulled over and called his "boss" and told them what we requested and they said no that we just booked the diamond tour, their most expensive tour. At that point we honestly just wanted to get back to our place and move on with our trip. The only positive we can give on this tour was that at least the hosts at the wineries were kind and the wines were good. Very sad the treatment we received on what was suppose to be a great experience and memory. If less than a star rating was possible, I guarantee Majesty Wine...
Read moreMy husband and I did the Sapphire tour, which is 3 wineries and lunch. This was already $400 for my husband and I, so we did not upgrade to a private tour that would have allowed us to select the wineries. They had a comment box when you make your reservation so that you can share requests or what you are interested in. I realize they can’t accommodate every request, but with the amount of money we were spending with them for an afternoon, a little attention would have gone a long way.
I am never one to complain online or write bad reviews, but I am so disappointed and underwhelmed with the experience we had, and when I reached out to the company afterword to discuss (twice) I did not get a response.
When I made the reservation, I requested a couple of wineries that came highly recommended. I understand that requests can’t always be honored, but not going to either of those was disappointing. I also mentioned in my booking that we like red wine. It is very frustrating to me that my husband and I each had to pay an up charge out of pocket to “upgrade” to the red wine only tasting at the first winery when that should have been included, but even more frustrating that the 2nd and 3rd “winery” of the day did not even have an option for a red wine only tasting. We were not impressed with the wine selection at the 2nd or 3rd stop of the tour. I was also disappointed that the last stop of our winery tour was not actually a winery, but a tasting room. I do not feel that the experience was worth what I paid for it.
I gave 2 stars because our driver was fantastic and the service provided was satisfactory, just not worth what I...
Read moreWatch your bill!!! I DO NOT recommend Majesty Tours. I went to Fredericksburg with 5 friends to celebrate my birthday. I called the day of and the lady on the phone was nice enough to book for that same day at 1130. Our driver, can’t remember his name was AMAZING! However when I saw my credit card statement I noticed they had overcharged me $1027.92 was the total, I called them directly today. The charge should have been $714 ($119 per person). The lady that answered the phone was BEYOND RUDE, she definitely should not be working in customer service. She went off on me and told me I was lying that the representative “pretty much always” disclose all charges and that the fees are more on Sunday’s. The representative did not disclose the taxes and gratuity included which was $313!!!!! She advised me I got an email with the confirmation, which I just checked my email and did not get. She raised her voice multiple times and told me I could not prove that that was not discussed. I advised her that I would contact my bank about the difference and she said this conversation is over and hung up on me. I hope all conversations are recorded so that someone can go back and listen to it. I will post this review on Google, Yelp, Trip Avisor and any other avenue I can to warn people of this terrible business practice. Not discussing ALL fees is not ok. I will also contact the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. I hope this helps someone else, if you book with them do it in person, get a receipt (which I did not get) and check your online banking or credit...
