I will absolutely never be going here again. The whole experience was awful and I should of just stood up and walked out. My friend and I scheduled an appointment at 3:30 4 days ago. We came in early at 3:10 so we would have time to pick out our colors. I was rushed to a spot to sit, tossed their gel colors, and they immediately took my hands to get my polish off. Leaving me one had to TRY and pick a color with this nail wheel in my lap. It was awful and I was super rushed. So I didn't pick a color I absolutely loved because I could barely look at the colors they were offering only having one hand to try and navigate the chaos that is a nail polish color wheel. I told them I wanted my gel taken off and a new set of gel polish. NO DESIGN. He told me it would be $43. I was charged $50. My friend was also charged $5 Over the price they originally quoted her (she just got plain white gel toes) She also has a chip in her gel toes after 2 days.
The station was discusting. The place wasn't exactly clean or organized. The manicurist was asking me questions that I didn't feel was appropriate, and also started hitting on me. I honestly don't know how to react in these situations where a man is hitting on me while he has my litteral hands in his hands. I just go along because it feels safer and I don't want to cause a scene. It was awful.
It's morning of day 4 and I have 2 nails that have chipped and 5 nails that are cracked. So 7/10 nails are looking rough, AFTER SPENDING $50+TIP ON GEL POLISH WITH NO DESIGN. I posted photos so you can see. It is hard getting my phones camera to focus on the cracks. But you can see it in the photo that I've circled the fingernail in yellow.
Normally I would go in and get these things fixed, but it was so dirty and the whole experience was so awful that I don't have the desire to get my nails done here again or to have them even fix it because I don't want to be made uncomfortable again. I realize that I should of walked out at this point, but honestly, I wanted it to get better. I had false hope.
Clearly there are new owners if you read the recent reviews. No prices are posted. They will tell you once price and charge you another.
It took me a few days to decide if I wanted to post this, but after having my gel nails crack and chip by day 3 (first crack appeared after day 1) I decided that others should be warned. Who charges $50 for gel nails that chip and crack by day 2 of having them? Myself and the 4 other women who reccomended me this salon before the ownership changed will not be coming here. We will drive to Silverthorne instead.
0/10. Don't waste your money. You're going to be overcharged for something that won't last more...
Read moreI was apart of a smaller bridal party coming to get our nails done the day before the wedding. The bride called, made appointments and confirmed we would be arriving.
We get there, and the second we walk in it is very clear they do not want us there. We were made to feel extremely unwelcome, and like we were wasting their time. They barely talked to us, did not ask what we wanted. We then waited over 45 minutes for our pedicures to start (the ones we made an appt. for). During the pedicures they made it very clear they did not want to do our nails, and had us all panicking it wasn’t going to happen the entire time. (Keep in mind the wedding was the next day and they KNEW that).
Fast forward, we finally make it to the nail chair. My nail tech answered his phone FIVE times. Leaving me to sit and stare at the wall for a good 5-10 minutes each time. As if that’s not unprofessional enough… Every. Single. One. Of us came out bleeding. I have gotten my nails done for YEARS and have never seen so many cuts at once. Not only was I bleeding, he tried to hide it…and pretend it didn’t happen. After that fiasco he cut my nails WAY too short without asking me, and changed the shape. (Not a huge deal, but after everything else I was on the verge of tears…with bloody cuticles).
Once I was done, I walked up to pay. (I noticed the price he told me was WAY more than what their price list stated…by a good 40 dollars). I then realized he was “up-charging” me. By this point I was so uncomfortable, upset, and exhausted I just paid, and left.
Well, my friends were still in the salon to pay. My lovely nail tech proceeded to scream/announce to the whole building that I was a horrible person and did not tip, all the while pointing at me outside…well needless to say my friends didn’t tip either.
Long story short, if you love rude, unprofessional, unfriendly, and downright weird staff? This is your place! However, if that’s not the case? Save yourself the future therapy visit you will surely have to attend, if you decide to go to this salon. -5/10 would absolutely...
Read moreI have been going to Frisco Nails for as long as they've been open, and always had the best experience of anywhere in Summit County. I'm just a standard "mani/pedi" girl so not reviewing on dips or shellack or nail art.
Did this business sell to a new owner or something? Since I was here a few months ago (was traveling), they have really gone downhill. All the staff is new. Almost all guys who don't seem to really care about what they're doing (looking out the window, absent-mindedly talking to each other and looking at their phones while supposedly doing my nails).
I made an appointment and Andy was assigned to me, and our communication was challenging due to a lack of English on his part (I asked to speak to someone who could translate about pedicure options). He worked on my cuticles and filing on my right foot and then he was going to polish! I had to tell him that he'd missed my left foot altogether. I asked for the "cheese grater" on my feet and to spend some extra time on the bottoms of my feet (which I was willing to pay extra for, and their pedicure options weren't clear on which would be right for me - I never found out).
When I arrived home and the polish was dry, I checked out the job and my feet felt like sandpaper, not smooth at all. Plus for both the manicure and pedicure, Andy massaged my forearms and calves, but not my feet or hands AT ALL! It was so odd. I finally asked him to stop on my arms - it hurt just having the same motion over and over on something that doesn't feel good. No lotion on my hands or on my feet - or oil or anything to moisturize. I also didn't notice any soap or anything put in the water for soaking - which is kind of required, isn't it?
Now I'm perplexed - did I just get a rookie tech that was made nervous by my asking the owner to translate options? Or did the whole place go downhill? I suspect it was just this tech - hope so, because I like the place. But the vibe is entirely...
