I love shopping at PinkBox in Stonebriar and the one in Carrollton. The owners are a lovely Korean couple. The staff here are always friendly and knowledgeable, and they enjoy working there, which is especially rare for retail stores. It makes me sad seeing these reviews saying that the workers are rude, rsict, and scam customers. If y'all have ever talked to the workers, you'll know that everything they say or do is to protect the store and its merchandise. To address the rcism, this store has no such thing, especially because the primary demographic that shops here are POC. Most of the staff is POC as well. If you ever feel like you are being watched or singled out, I promise you, you are not. If you have been to the store, you will notice that many people have stolen from them, which is highly embarrassing, because stealing from a business, especially a small business, is unacceptable. The staff must keep an eye on customers to ensure no one steals. If your body language and actions aren't suspicious and you don't have any ill intentions towards the business, you shouldn't feel like you're being targeted. And even if they suspect you, you have no reason to be defensive if you are certain you've done nothing wrong. At the end of the day, the workers are just trying to do their job. To address the "scamming," Pink Box has apparent signs in the store that say albums are final sale. Their receipts will also remind you of their policies regarding returns and exchanges. So if you plan on buying an album, inspect the album you want thoroughly before purchasing. This should be common sense to any K-Pop fan. I will look at an album for a reasonable amount of time to ensure that the album I want has no evident and noticeable damage. And most of the time, all albums will have small indents or damaged corners because of shipping and handling before it even reaches a store. That's just how it is. I hope this review helps past, current, and future customers better understand how the store works. The staff is always willing to answer any questions you may have about policies and how the store runs, so don't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to this store for the first time outside Macys on Superbowl weekend 2023. I had bought a coffee at the Starbucks just inside Macys around 25 steps from the Pink Box when I saw this store and headed in. Looks like some items my daughter may like. Not less than 5 minutes later as I was looking at the earrings a young lady with black hair medium length came up to me telling me I needed to leave with my coffee. She said drinks such as a water bottles with a lid were allowed or certain water holders like Yeti type containers. Mind you I did NOT ask her what was allowed and for the reason that someone spilled a beverage while there previously. I was in shock. My coffee had a lid and a stopper. I was holding it with one hand and looking at the earrings hanging on the wall and checking out prices with the other hand. I told her my money was going elsewhere and walked out. She smiled. Was there such a great risk to this inexpensive display of earrings from my coffee that was in one hand? I am a well dressed woman that saw a lot that I wanted to buy for my daughter. I was told I could come back after I drank my coffee! Really lady?! Your prices are low end and you are quick to run out a potential customer that would have spent some good money in your shop. Poor customer service and business etiquette for a small business. Are you going to allow women with babies in strollers that are holding sippy cups? Think about your approach towards those that enter your store and look at the situation. Do not judge all based on a previous customer who made a mess. You are not a high-end store and considering Macys has no issues selling coffee next to their women's clothing department I would think rethink this "policy" if you want to drive business out...
Ā Ā Ā Read more(TLDR: severely light damaged product)
This review has nothing to do with the customer service I just want to make that clear. They went out of their way to help me find an album and were very helpful and friendly.
The album I bought has pretty severe light damage. I couldnāt see it as bad under the fluorescent lights in the store but after getting a proper look at home itās very apparent. I already opened my album so I donāt think it can be returned but in hindsight this should have been discounted because this is basically damaged. For reference Iāll upload my photos of the product and also the official color itās supposed to be.
If a stores lights are causing such severe light damage you need to switch. Iāve been to several Kpop stores and have...
