I would rate this zero stars if possible. We rented a cabin for our honeymoon.

The drive to the cabin is long and convoluted, and a little confusing despite the directions. The cabin itself was okay, but there were tons of issues.

1.) The hot tub button panel was broken and peeling away. We could not adjust the temperature at all, and it was cold.

2.) We then tried to warm up in the Jacuzzi. You're instructed to fill the tub up to the jets with both hot and cold water because the cabins have a hot water heater with a capacity of only 50-75 gallons, whereas the tub holds 200+ gallons. Then you top off with more hot water. Problem was, there was no hot water! Only a trickle of hot water would come out, and it didn't warm us up at all. So we each took turns running back and forth from the bathtub, filling the Jacuzzi with hot water since the bathtub worked fine. It did us absolutely no good, and our attempts left us with no hot water at all, so I was forced to take a cold shower after being out in cold rain in November.

3.) In our last attempt to get warm, we tried the fireplace, which also didn't work.

4.) A plug-in flashlight was provided and left plugged in when we arrived. It didn't work, and the bottom part by the plug was burnt to a crisp. We unplugged it.

5.) The remotes didn't work with the outdated TVs to turn the volume down.

6.) Blinds were broken on some of the windows, the bed felt like it was going to fall apart, and there were huge gashes across the floor.

7.) Driving up the mountain at night, even without snow, is extremely dangerous. Because of the wet leaves, we almost couldn't leave our driveway. But trying to get back to the cabin after exploring Gatlinburg in the middle of the night terrified us both out of our wits. You can't see at all, even with brights on, because of the hills.

We were fed up and decided that we would stay that night out of necessity only, because it was too dangerous to leave.

When I called to complain and request a refund, I was greeted rudely and told that "the boss" would call me later as they were out of town. They didn't. So I called back and was told that "the boss" said that a maintenance man had checked out the cabin and found everything to be working, which is a bold faced lie. Because everything was "working", we would not be getting a refund.

This cabin destroyed our honeymoon. We couldn't afford a hotel on top of the cabin so we only stayed in Gatlinburg for 1 day. More than half of our itinerary was cut because we had no time before having to get back home to have some place warm and safe to stay again. I'm so disappointed right now I can't stand it. I will never, ever do business with this company again.

249 Fred Harrison way cabin: “awesome view” •Let’s start by saying DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY!! •you could tell the cabin was not cleaned like it should have been as there was burnt wood in front of the fire place where there did not care to clean up the hot tube was very nasty as there was stuff in the bottom also the 2 of the buttons did not work also upstairs by the switches there was 2 bugs also we was downstairs and a rat ran over in the corner of the fireplace also if you look at the pic and see 2 grills on the deck and thinking if it rains I can grill well let me tell u don’t wast your time bc there not here there using OLD pic of this cabin also u can’t play pool right for one the table is not level for 2 it’s way to close to walls and windows and the stairs so u can even hit it also on the lavatories you can’t cut the water on like u normally would bc water will go everywhere also if u like shower just get ready to get mad and take a bath the shower u can turn the head if u try water goes everyone also when u are taking one it leaks there is NO light over the kitchen table the fan up stairs does not work hot tube was 2feet under the water line so could not use it until there was water put in it there was not chemicals in the floater the bottom was very dirty and yes I have pic of everything all in all this cabin is a waste of time and money if your looking for a get away I would never ever stay here at all and there is more stuff wrong that is...

We rented stairway to heaven, and I will start off by saying DON'T rent this cabin. -When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was that the roof is unfinished, and it is half completed. -Next is the pictures represented what this cabin must have looked like when it was first built, very misinforming. -there was not a single oven mitt for the antique stove. -the entire cabin was extremely outdated and in desperate need of a renovation -the lighting made the entire cabin feel like a dungeon -the pool table was on the top level, and the way the roof was curved, it was unplayable in the area that it was in. -Millipedes everywhere!! I am not bothered by the occasional insect, but this rental had close to 100 killed by myself or my wife during our short stay. -the hot tub did not have a very easy to use controller, very outdated. Also the lights above the hot tub were inoperable. -all of the wood working on the outside of the property looked as if it had termite damage. The list goes on and on, and it is sad because we drive 1000 miles just to get here and end up with this type of quality. We will not be staying here again, and I urge anyone that reads this to choose a different...
