Smoky Mountain Farms Jelly House — Local services in Gatlinburg

So many different flavor of jelly!! I went with the Cherry in Port Wine and Peach in Brandy!! Yummm... The rest tasted like sugary flavored jelly similar to that at other farm markets. What I bought is unique, and there are cherries and peaches pieces in the jelly. This store has other items like fried peanuts, which I love!! It also has pickled items, rock candy, salsa, salad dressing, etc... I took lots of pictures of the merchandise, see my pics. The young lady working there was so nice, helpful and informative. She informed me that although the some jelly might be made with alcohol, but they don't have alcohol. Also, she told me that the jelly is made with cane sugar, and refridgeration will harden the sugar. Therefore, do not refrigerate the jelly. She also said that the jelly is made with all natural ingredients. I gave her some marketing items to share with the owner. If she didn't tell me about the all natural ingredients, I wouldn't have known since it is not mentioned anywhere in the store, on the products or on their Facebook page. I like that they ship. I’m absolutely happy that I found Smokey Mountain Jams. The sourwood honey I bought from a local place in Nashville, Tn didn’t taste any different than local clover honey. I never had sourwood but the taste threw me off. My next thought was to find somewhere in East Tn mountain area that could ship it. Well I found them online and didn’t just order the sourwood honey but peach/pecan jam, blackberry/jalapeño jam, pickled sweet jalapeños, mild chow-chow, peach/jalapeño jam. I’ve tried 2 jams as well as the sourwood honey and I’m so pleased that I have told several friends at work. The box came sooner than I expected and that made it even better. I hope they stay open because I’m placing more orders for Christmas. If anyone orders online please leave a tip the small businesses need extra support and it’s shops like these that make it worth leaving a tip. We were excited to purchase jelly from this place, as we normally drive to the strip for Jelly and this place is close to our home. However, when we arrived it appeared they were cutting fruit and not one worker was wearing a mask or wearing gloves. It seemed obvious that if they weren’t abiding by local regulations, we should be concerned about their product safety. Also, by not wearing masks, they didn’t care for our safety, as we have a high risk son. Needless to say we put our jelly back and immediately left as soon as we noticed masks and gloves...
