Wow—finally a meal that delivered! My wife, kids, and I stopped in for an early Sunday dinner, and this New Orleans-style spot absolutely hit the mark. We’d been in Gatlinburg for a few days, and this was the first meal that truly wowed us.
The food was outstanding. My daughter and I split the Club sandwich—not traditional NOLA fare, but it’s what we were craving, and it was excellent. Fresh, stacked just right, and full of flavor, and lots of bacon (our favorite). My wife went with the fish po’ boy and our other daughter had the turkey po’ boy—both were delicious and generously portioned. The wife said it was way better than the fish she had the night before, which she thought good, but this place did great. We also shared a side of hush puppies. While they were on the smaller side, they were golden, crispy, and packed with flavor.
The fries were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They were a nice thick cut and lightly seasoned with a Cajun seasoning. I personally would’ve liked a bit more Cajun kick, but that’s just preference.
The atmosphere was quaint and cozy, with tasteful decorations that gave off a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Service was fantastic—drinks were refilled before we even had to ask, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
It is a smaller venue and there was only one table which could accommodate more than four, that we saw.
Parking was a bit of a hassle, as is everything in Gatlinburg. We found a lot close by which only charged $2 per hour. It was located on River Road, really close to the restaurant.
This place really stood out among the meals we’ve had during our trip. Big kudos to the kitchen and staff. Highly recommend if you’re in Gatlinburg and looking for a satisfying meal with...
Read moreThe food their is good been several times but be prepared for the man that works their horrible service and attitude. I was told he is the owner which makes it worse. We went this week and place was not even packed only 2 tables had customers but when I told him we had five people he said we had to sit separately in such a disgusted manner as if he didn't want anyone over 3 people there. Than he said oh you have to leave no dogs here are welcome. I told him he had his service tags on . He snapped is it mental or physical service. By this point the few customers and him are looking at me. I told him not only does he have his tags on I have his paperwork and everything with me. He than snapped did a Dr. Sign them. I was so mad and embarrassed that with tears in my eyes I told my husband let's just go somewhere else. First off I should never have to tell anyone I have a service dog because I'm a brain tumor survivor with side affects. Plus have a audience more than 15 people having me to explain my medical condition. I will never refer anyone to this business again. The food may be good but humiliating your customer is no where near worth it.!!! My service dog has better manners than his service has...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem. It's at the back of one of the shopping alleys off the main strip. My wife and I split the Ferdie, seafood gumbo, jambalaya and sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. The ferdie was juicy and, as random as it sounds, the sandwich bread (also the side bread) was amazing. My wife couldnt stop eating the jambalaya it was so good. I had gumbo at another New Orleans style restaurant down the street from there a couple days before and this blew them out of the water. It was fantastic. The sweet potato fries, even though they are just an extra side we got, were crispy and perfect. Everything in this place was delicious .... so much so that we were discussing how amazed we were because of the authenticity with another couple in the restaurant. Also, did I mention cheap? The prices are nice and low, especially for the quality of the food. Lastly, let's not forget the service and atmosphere. Very relaxed and reminiscent of our trip to the mom and pop restaurants in NOLA. Just go, you won't regret it! We will be coming back to this establishment every time we...
