Heaven's Cabins — Local services in Gatlinburg

I'm going to fully disclaim that this may be one of the most helpful and glowing reviews imaginable from someone who did not end up staying a night in a cabin.

Our family was scheduled to stay in "This is Heaven" for our annual vacation. We arrived and the house was gorgeous. It was immaculately clean with all the thoughtful ammenities you would expect and more. I cannot rave enough about how well appointed the kitchen was - by far the best of any vacation rental we have stayed in across multiple locations. And the views! It truly was heaven. After unpacking, we went to dinner and this is where the hiccup happened that ultimately changed our plans.

As a summarization, our stay was impacted by some unusual weather (please see the Dollywood flooding videos for July 2024 for the an idea of the abnormal amount of rainfall the area received). Due to some circumstances beyond our control and the control of Heaven's Cabins, we were unable to return to the cabin that night and we ultimately learned how wonderful their customer service is in even the most unanticipated situations.

1. They respond promptly to their emergency line. Anyone who has ever had a reason to call a line designated as such understands how valuable that is.
2. They worked, what I can only describe as, miracles to resolve our immediate concerns. Furthermore, they provided a realistic time frame to accomplish such which aided us in our planning. So frequently, you'll see places minimizing the issue and not providing accurate information.
3. They listened to our concerns about the continued impact this would have on our vacation and worked to come to a reasonable solution with us.

Often times, you don't get to really see customer service in action if a plan goes smoothly. While I hope no one has hiccups like we encountered, I hope our experience will put into perspective how helpful this company was in a time of bad luck.

We hope to one day rent from Heaven's Cabins and spend the night - although maybe in a different cabin so we don't jinx ourselves and...

We had not taken a vacation in over 10 years. We decided to vacation in the mountains. I looked long and hard for a vacation home that provided something for every member of the family. I just happened to stumble on Heavens Cabins & found the beautiful Heaven's Reach.

It had everything we were looking for. We wanted to be in the mountains with a great view & lots to do.

The location was close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & The Smoky Mountains National Park.

The home had a poker table, pool table, foosball table, arcade table, movie theater, hot tub and 2 fire tables. We were able to enjoy it all!

I loved the hammock, once I learned how to get in & out of it.

The kids learned how to play pool and obliterated us playing video games.

The home was so much more then promised. It truly felt like we were at home. We cooked meals or grilled out. Two nights in a row we had visitors (mama bear & her two cubs) stop by wanting dinner.

I was able to do laundry so we could pack less clothes, saving us on checked bags.

We watched movies theater style but without theater pricing.

We loved the privacy that came with having one bed & bath on each level.

Everything was clearly labeled & directions were easy to follow. All questions were quickly answered.

If we ever make it back to The Smokies, we will definitely stay with Heavens Cabins again.

Inaccurate listings, false advertisement & horrible guest services.would have been nice if they provided empathy & understanding. VRBO listing says "3 fireplaces! 2 master suites!" - Their pictures are false. They show a see through fireplace from bedroom to bathroom. It's actually a space heater with twirling lights & not a fireplace at all. I have included screenshots of their listing on VRBO showing a see through fireplace. I have included a picture of the actual "space heater" (so called 'fireplace').

We spent our very overdue vacation money on a secluded cabin only to be INTRUDED by 2 random men when we came back from hiking. When we addressed the managment they only issued an apology and said they were landscapers that would be quick. My safety was most assuredly not considered & the management didn't even offer or attempt to reschedule. When I addressed that my safety was a concern, the management said it was only a "minor inconveinece" -like they understand my fears of having 2 random strangers alone with me in the back secluded mountain, let alone taking up my very precious time away from work to be disrupted for over an hour of the very limited escape time I had away.
