The Hayloft Comfort Footwear — Local services in Gatlinburg

I'm not a cussing man, but this poor excuse of a man didn't even acknowledge us or even look at us. My daughter wanted some boots and begged us to go inside. This guy had his face stuck in his cell phone and didn't even flinch.

We made our way to the front of the counter to look at the kids boots and we were literally 2-3 feet away from him, facing directly at him, and he never looked up as my wife stared him in his face in an effort to ask him some questions.

Even then, he kept scrolling through his phone as he directly faced us, without looking at us, and never saying a word.

In the end, we decided to spend our money where we'd be appreciated.

They had a great children's selection and my 9 year old was very disappointed we chose to leave. It was a great teaching moment for her to learn to never patronize a business who treats you like dirt.

I don't know if this guy was the owner, or just an employee; but whoever he was, he's unfit to serve the public and it's people like this that cause businesses to shut down. It's people like this that destroys the reputation of a business. I highly suggest you patronize another business. Someone else made a similar review. Don't waste your time.

I had a great time in Gatlinburg and this is literally the only bad experience I've had in this wonderful city. We bought lots of stuff and everyone was great.

Some friends and I went in the store over the weekend. We were looking at a shoe and did not see the size that we needed. I proceeded to take a picture of the shoe so we could remember the name and style to look up later for the correct size. The most condescending salesman i have ever encountered came up and seemed offended that we were taking a picture of the shoe (even though they didn't have the size). He proceeded to tell us that we would not be able to find that shoe anywhere any longer. He said maybe on ebay. The man working didn’t acknowledge or greet us at all when we came in even though we were the only customers in the store, but he didn’t hesitate to make a very rude and disrespectful comment when I had to check my phone for something. There were no other customers there and I checked my phone for a second to see a message from a family member and he made a sarcastic comment about if I was shopping for boots or a text. Well, we aren’t shopping for anything from there anymore. It’s none of his business if I check my phone for a second.
