LOFT — Local services in Gig Harbor

Really enjoy this place. I love loft and it’s my go to for work church and vacation. Love the fit and find it modest. True- I’m double digits so I am not always successful in store but online is great. This store is always welcoming. Even when I have online returns - which I am sure is annoying but I buy a lot online since I’m a larger size and sometimes have to take things back. More than once I’ve had $$$$ of returns I always feel welcome and helped The store is very organized and employees are friendly. I’m not sure but the manger I believe - I’ve met her before - came right over to help this last time Offered to hold my returns at the register and offered me help in what I was looking for. Seemed very familiar with selection. Lastly in the kindness way I was respected with my size. Not sure how to describe but in a very tactful way finding my size was facilitated offers to order online even when I was shopping with friends. I wish I could describe it better but it was noted...

Love shopping at the Loft. I always find something I love but I normally shop online. Today was the first time I’ve been to the Gig Harbor location and let’s say it’ll be my last. Walked in and wasn’t greeted by the associate that looked me up and down. Which isn’t the worst of it. But I came in to do an exchange and the associate who came to assist me seemed very bothered by my exchanges. She was noticeably rude and upset. The other associate seemed to be just as shocked as I was about her rude behavior. I assume she was having a bad day since she walked from another part of the store angrily. My husband had to walk away before he called her out on her behavior. We both didn’t want to be “those people” making a seen. I took her associate number off of my receipt - 6839845.

I'm giving 2 stars because I love the clothing. The service not so much. I walked in, and there was only one other customer in the store. The two ladies seemed to care less who was in the store. I had to wait for them to finish their conversation to ask about the promotions, and still they did not offer that the entire store is half off. I have been in retail for 30 years, and I get that most places are short handed, however it is not difficult to just say Hi! I believe you could do much more volume if you hired associates that were personable, friendly, and were actually interested in helping customers.
