Mud Bay — Local services in Gig Harbor

We really like this place. Second time coming in today and we got a decently large container of raw cat food, a real fur rat toy (hilarious and my cats love it) and the catnip spray by the register (okay this stuff was crazy potent, cats also loved it) and it only put us out about $36 total so I found that very reasonable, which really drives me to come back and see what else they’ll get in stock.

One of the employees at the register was also quite helpful to me in suggesting use of the raw food, which is new for us. She mentioned the raw food could be returned, even opened, if it didn’t work out for us which I appreciate from a business. Everyone was also helpful as we browsed. This review is overdue but I wanted to make sure I shared about the wonderful experience my partner, puppy and I had at the Gig Harbor Mud Bay. We were in the area on vacation about a month ago and ran out of food for our puppy. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the right food options for our pet. They provided us with some great samples and we left learning a lot of great things about our dogs diet that we didn't know before. I so wish this location was my local store! This is the type of customer service experience I wish I could have...

To my surprise we ended up with rescue puppy at Christmas. I was really stressing about keeping her as it can be very expensive and time-consuming nursing a scared malnourished pup back to health.

Mudbay saved the Day. They provided wonderful information, donated a bit of very healthy food, help me find a great deal on other supplies and basically gave me hope💓. I walked out of the door full of emotion saying, "Okay, we can do this."
