I have absolutely nothing positive to say about Michael’s services. He was incredibly unprofessional, offensive, and unreliable. He ruined my hair and it has impacted my life every day for the past 5 months. Do not trust this man with your hair. He will waste your time, money, destroy your confidence, and offend you.

I asked for trim and a blonde balayage. He refused to perform the services I requested and cut off approximately 6 inches of hair, gave me a bob, bangs, and light brown highlights. He promised me that this would make my hair healthier and I could come back in 8 weeks and he would do the blonde balayage I requested. That was on December 28. I cried and couldn’t leave my room for 3 days.

Our next appointment was scheduled for February 9. I went to the salon and he did not answer the door. I called him probably 10 times and texted him and he never responded. I had to call him every day for a week before I heard from him. I attached a photo of his response - that he was at the salon passed out.

I decided to give him the opportunity to make things right for the sole reason that a coupon I paid for and was not able to use on December 28 was going towards the payment for my next appointment. I thought “How much worse could he make my hair?” Unfortunately it got much worse.

We rescheduled for February 15. He used a type of bleach on me he had never used before and the color was incredibly brassy. I asked him to tone it a second time and he did, but it was still too brassy. He said I could come in a 3rd time and he would tone it for free. He also only did a partial balayage instead of the full balayage (which I paid for). So the underside of my hair is now a dark dark brown while the top half is bright brassy blonde. It is hideous.

I texted him to schedule another appointment to once again try to fix my hair. First he argued with me, and then realized he had agreed to comp the cost. We had scheduled an appointment for February 26 and I once again did not hear from him. This time his excuse was that he was in the emergency room. He never took the initiative to reschedule my appointment to fix my hair that he ruined twice.

I contacted him yet again to cancel an appointment that we had scheduled farther out, and he was incredibly rude to me, saying he did not want to do my hair.

I ended up spending over $400 and 5 months waiting for one simple request - a cool blonde balayage. Not only were his services awful and made my hair much worse than it was when I met him - he wasted my time and went out of his way to offend me personally. He will do the same to you. Please take this warning and save your hair, confidence, time, and money. My hair was closer to what I wanted before I met him than it is now, after 5 months and over $400. I scheduled with Michael through his website and message to confirm time. He reached out and let me know he would need to change the appointment time to allow enough time for my request. I attempted to ask about timeframe as I had an appointment later that day. He never responded. So I asked to sign me up for the time recommended. I got a confirmation text for my original time requested the morning of the appointment. So I showed up on time but he never showed up. I attempted to contact him using both numbers provided and even tried calling with no response from him. I decided to wait for the appointment time he had suggested originally since it was an hour difference and didn’t want to drive home only to turn back. He didn’t show up and never answered any of my communication attempts. I found Michael four years ago when I first moved to Denver, and I have loved him since! He never bats an eye at any crazy color I ask him to change my hair to; he goes above and beyond in making sure all my needs are taken care of; and he always has the best products for my curly, bleached hair! The thing that really sets Michael apart is that he will TEACH you how to fix your own hair! I’ve watched him do this with other clients and actually learned how to style men’s hair by observing him as he coached a client on how to apply product. And he has revolutionized my hair care routine and taught me that I need way more oil in my hair than I ever thought I did! He has brought my hair back from the dead when I over bleached it, and I trust him implicitly with my locks.
