We shop Lulu mostly online but are also in this store at least once a month, especially because hemming is required on most of the leggings and shirts and occasionally we need to exchange for a different size or color. I can easily say that I leave irritated 90% of the time after our interactions with staff. They can't look-up anything with an original online receipt, even if you're logged into your account and have your "wait is over" email confirmation of shipping. Staff here do not listen and are flat out disrespectful.
The final straw today was regarding how they let people enter the store and then handling of an exchange. This is a small location and understandably at Christmas, is very busy. Having a que line makes sense from an emergency management standpoint as well as theft prevention.
They had 2 lines to enter today. One was for shopping only. The other was for exchanges/returns. My daughter and husband went to the exchange/return line (with only 4 other people in it) because she needed a different size of pants. My other daughter and I went to the shop line which had no one in it. The person at the door (never saw before) asked if we were exchanging something. I said no. She then asked if we were with my husband and daughter (with whom she saw us walking up to the store). I replied yes but that we wanted to shop. She told us we had to stand in line with my husband and daughter who were exchanging an item and could not enter without them. She could not explain why only saying that it was their policy. There was a young girl in line in front of my daughter and husband who stated she worked at a different Lulu store outside of Greenville and her store did not do that. We stood there and watched a woman and young man walk up to the shop line and be immediately let inside the store. I again questioned the lady at the door about the policy and suddenly she let everyone in the exchange/return line inside the store.
Once inside, we had to stand in two different lines to simply exchange for a different size as we wanted the same style pant in the same color. What should have been a simple size change ended up being a fiasco because the first exchange sales/counter person would not listen to us. Ultimately, the final sales lady we dealt with had to get special permission to finagle their system. It was absurd!!!
It's got to the point that I start getting anxious walking up to this particular store because there's no way to prepare for whatever nonsense the staff are going to pull. I’d rather drive an hour plus elsewhere than have to deal with the staff at this store who portray themselves as doing the costumer a favor to let the customer breathe their air.
Parking for the location is extremely...
Read moreMy girlfriend gave me a list of colors she wanted in Lululemon leggings, one of which was discontinued. In searching the website for a location that still had them in stock in her size I found this store had them available but only for pickup. Greenville is a 2-hour drive from home but I don’t mind a short road trip so I purchased them, or so I thought. I also found another pair in a different color she wanted at a local Atlanta store that was also pickup only and went to get them that afternoon. When I was picking them up I mentioned to the employee at the Atlanta store that I also had to go pick up a pair in Greenville that I bought the following weekend. That’s when I was informed that doing an online pickup is only good for 24 hours, even though payment information is collected they don’t charge your card till you arrive. The employee went on to say that if I called the store in Greenville they could ship the pants to me for free so I would not have to drive 4 hours round trip to pick them up. After I left the Atlanta store I called Greenville, no answer. I called them 10 times that afternoon/evening with no answer. I also emailed the store with my order number and explained I had been told they could ship them if requested and provided my phone number.
The following day I did not receive a reply to my email or a phone call, I also did not get anything saying my order was ready for pickup. Attempted to call again numerous times, no answer. Both Google and the Lululemon website showed the same phone number so I had no other number to try. It was unclear if the 24-hour time frame for pickup began when I placed the order or when I was informed it was ready for pickup so as soon as I could leave the afternoon after placing the order I headed to Greenville and called several more times before I got out of the Atlanta area. At this point, I had already told my girlfriend the color was sold out just wanted to surprise her. 145 miles later I arrived at the Greenville Lululemon store to find only 2 customers in the store but at least 3 employees. I explained to one of them that I had placed an order but had not received anything showing it was ready for pickup. I went on to tell them about the other store informing me about the offer to ship and that I had attempted to call over 20 times. She laughed and said, “yeah we’ve been really busy”. She disappeared into the back and returned a short time later with the order already bagged, they had pulled the order and bagged it but didn’t bother with marking it ready for pickup. I left with an overpriced pair of pants and no attempt...
Read moreIt just breaks my heart that I must write my first one star Google review. I recently visited the Greenville, SC Lululemon store while traveling for business and was very disappointed with the experience. The store was in complete disarray, with items scattered and poorly organized.
There was no assistance available in any area, even though several associates were present. Most of them were either talking to each other or on their phones, completely ignoring customers.
I spent several hundred dollars in five minutes but would have spent more if I had received any help. For a premium brand like Lululemon, I expect a much higher standard of customer service.
This visit left me frustrated and disappointed. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve the shopping experience. I have visited Lululemon’s globally and this is by far the worst experience...
