This used to be my favorite place to walk and go for a run. Until it got over populated with people who cannot walk on a side walk, the bikes flying all over the place as well as the people that cannot control their dogs or even have them on a leash. There are people who let their dogs in the water behind the lodge and then just walk them off the leash through the walkways. Police presence is not as present as it used to be. Homeless will sit on the benches all day and there’s multiple times where homeless guys are yelling and screaming under the tunnel. Everything was ok until the built unity park and kicked the homeless out of the tents under the bridge. It’s just turned into a terrible place to go to relax. The small green bridge over reedy river had broken boards for a long time. I filed several complaints about the condition of the bridge and it took almost 2 years for them to repair it. They even had to create a curfew at falls park at night for anyone under 18. Unfortunately , it is rarely enforced and there’s a lot of drug use in this area at night and some pretty suspicious activity. I finally moved out of Greenville County this past summer and left my county job because of the nightmare this...
Read moreThis waterfall is one of the beautiful waterfalls located in the Falls Park on the Reedy and is formed by the Reedy River cascading through rock cliff. It is located in the downtown of Greenville, south carolina. There is a long pedestrian suspension bridge named Liberty Bridge built around the waterfall that offers an unobstructed view of the waterfalls. You can walk across the bridge while enjoying the beauty of falls and other parts of the park. Admission to the park is free. In addition to waterfalls, the place features a beautiful park. The park is very well maintained with several scenic trails and is a good place for nature lovers. It also has picnic areas, public arts, garden areas with variety of flowers & birds, and the Reedy river itself flowing through the park. In addition to pedestrians, the park is wheelchair accessible and also one can take their bicycles to go around it. The park is also well marked which makes it easy for visitors to have...
