Book this property at your own risk. I’ve been dealing with an issue with this property since December 7th. We paid $782 for one night to come down and meet some friends. The hotel forces every guest to valet and the valet area is pretty small. To keep this short and sweet don’t trust valet with your car. They wrecked our vehicle and then lied about how it occurred. They also didn’t inform us when the accident happened, but informed us during checkout when we requested the car to be brought around. Since we were not informed when it happened we were not able to obtain a police report or information from the alleged “drunk driver” the hotel claimed backed into our car. Management at the hotel would not discuss the issue with us or assist in coming to a resolution. They ghosted us entirely and still tried to charge us the $32 for valet parking until I demanded it be removed. Turns out it was a valet employee who caused damages to our vehicle and the whole scenario they told us was a complete lie. Unable to resolve this directly with the hotel I opened a case with bonvoy. However, the property kept closing the case and marking it as resolved without any follow up. The GM wouldn’t respond and neither would the front desk manager. I understand accidents happen and was not expecting them to admit liability but they did cause over $5k in damage to our vehicle so the least they could have done was comp our one night stay, or at the very least offer us Marriott points for the Inconvenience (neither of which were done). As a result of the fake story from the hotel and no police report we ended up spending about 20 hours with insurance agents trying to get this resolved. Luckily insurance ended up covering the damage. I honestly feel bad for the kid, I understand accidents happen and it was probably a simple mistake- I am not upset with him at all (only how the situation was handled by management). I do not appreciate being lied to by the valet manager and manager on duty at the hotel. That is completely unacceptable and the entire situation wasn’t handled sufficiently. A simple apology, some points, or a refund would have been sufficient..accidents happen and that’s why we pay for insurance. I really wanted to love this hotel and was really hoping they would handle this properly but that obviously isn’t something this property knows how to do. Before you book this property be aware you may leave with significant damage to your vehicle and no accountability from the property and not even an apology. I hate I even have to write this review but after no follow up from Bonvoy or the property after 5-6 months that is completely unacceptable. Future recommendation to the property: If you wreck a guests car notify them immediately when it occurs, not during checkout. Most importantly, don’t lie about the events surrounding the accident. We had a very close to 5* end-to-end experience and we really enjoyed the stay. The hotel opened Aug 2022, and has been a popular downtown spot. I’ll skip all the generic compliments many people have already shared, and I’ll share some of the practical info we had found out: We didn’t use their valet parking service ($25), we were lucky and found a street parking spot (2 hrs parking between 9am-6pm), we parked there overnight from ~4pm-11am in the morning on a weekend without any issue. There are very limited street parking spots (they are hugggge spaces) in the same block. But if you are willing to walk a bit further, there are more street parking available. Two of the city-owned parking garage are also free on the weekend. The Internet is pretty fast! ~150MB download & 50MB upload. With Marriott Bonvoy Elite Platinum+ member, a few perks were offered to us: Upon asking, a room upgrade to the fall view with a balcony (3rd floor, top floor if 5)! Although it’s not the room type we initially booked, we prefer a great view to a specific room type. Welcome gift of 1000 points of continental breakfast for two people. We took the breakfast option. It’s in their restaurant “Between the Trees”. You can either get continental breakfast(not listed on the menu, our server went through what individual items included, but I don’t remember the full list, there were bread, yogurt, etc options), which the cost will then be fully covered. Or you can get $8 off a person from the menu item. Most items are around the $15-$20 range. Side note, the coffee (only option?) they have is a French press, which is $10 a pot. Wish we were mentioned before we order. A $10 food & beverage voucher was also offered to us. It could be used at their bar (in the lobby) or in their restaurant.

Two minor issues we encountered/noticed: The safe in our room did not work. When we tried to use it, it gave an error code. With the layout of our balcony and our nextdoor’s balcony, we can see into their room if we want to when standing on the balcony as we share the same balcony with only a little ~4 ft fence in the middle. Make sure to have the curtain(s) fully closed if you want to have full privacy.

One thing to keep in mind, when you make the booking (I did through the Marriott site), they pre-charge the amount on my credit card (even though I didn't book a prepaid rate). And when I had to cancel the booking, they didn't process the refund automatically, and I had to contact the hotel to fill out a form for the refund to be processed. Very inefficient process and not aligned with standard Marriott's booking cancellation process.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville, and I must say, it was absolutely fabulous! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the artistic charm that enveloped the entire establishment.

The art displayed throughout the lodge was truly mesmerizing. Every corner seemed to reveal a masterpiece, from striking paintings to intricate sculptures. The attention to detail in showcasing these artworks added a unique touch, making the atmosphere vibrant and inspiring.

Let’s talk about the rooms! My accommodations were nothing short of luxurious. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a modern yet cozy ambiance. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The attention to cleanliness was impeccable, and the amenities provided added that extra touch of indulgence.

Now, let me tell you about the restaurant. The culinary experience at the Grand Bohemian Lodge was a true delight. The beef tips were cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The trout dish was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and expertly prepared. Every bite was a sensory experience, and the flavors lingered long after the meal was finished.

One of my favorite moments was enjoying afternoon drinks on the veranda. The serene surroundings and breathtaking views created the perfect ambiance for relaxation. And then, there was the pleasure of sipping coffee on the porch while listening to the soothing sound of water. It was a tranquil and magical experience, one that will forever be etched in my memory.

I cannot emphasize enough how the staff at the Grand Bohemian Lodge went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The level of service was outstanding, and every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their work. Special mention goes to Olga at the bar from Boston, whose mixology skills were unparalleled. Her creative concoctions were a delight to the taste buds.

Additionally, Chris the bellman deserves a special shoutout. His warm demeanor and helpfulness truly made a difference. He was always ready with a smile and went out of his way to assist with any request, making me feel like a valued guest.

Oh, and before I forget, you absolutely must experience the warm shell seat on the porch. It’s like sitting in your own cozy paradise, surrounded by nature’s beauty. You won’t want to leave!

All in all, my stay at the Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville was an extraordinary experience. The art, the rooms, the delicious food, the veranda, the porch, and the exceptional staff all contributed to a truly memorable visit. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a...
