Love staying at this quirky inn when I’m in town for work meetings. Fully stocked kitchen is fantastic- love the easy, low-key way the place is run. Walk or bike (there’s rentals on site!) to downtown amenities in moments.

Please do not give this establishment any more business than it has already received.

We attended a charity auction last November and won a "day in TR" with a night at this bed and breakfast. What a treat and nice gesture by the ownership!

The following May, we contacted the Innkeeper (see photos) to reserve our room. We were told that the coach house was available, and that we could use it for our stay. Great!

Fast forward to this week, we reach out to confirm our reservation since we had not had anything further sent from the Innkeeper (although we had requested in several subsequent emails), and, after finally making contact with the Innkeeper, were told that they had not honored our original correspondence and had booked the coach house to a paying customer (vs our comped stay through a charitable donation).

While bummed, we were good sports, and said we would stay in their "glamper" named Lola, since we had already made plans in our schedule for travel. We were still planning on having a great time in TR.

So.. we arrive in TR today, and get to the property around 2 PM. The camper has cobwebs on the door handle, and we were very suspect of it. Nevertheless, we try reaching out to check in.

When we spoke with Wendy on the phone, we were told that check in was at 4 PM and check in details would be sent to our email before then. 4 PM rolls around, nothing. 4:30, nothing. 4:50 we try calling, and receive a text back asking what we need. To check in, of course! Only problem, is that instead of prepping the secondary place for us, the ownership hasn't even cared to try and get it ready! They instead try to use some excuse that the AC doesn't work and the cleaning crew couldn't get it ready. (Again see photos)

I would buy that excuse if there weren't spider-webs on the handle when we arrived.

All Wendy had to do was own up to her mistakes BEFORE we traveled here. Say "you know what, I really messed up. I booked your room I had promised but can make it up xx weekend" Instead, we are scrounging to find last minute accomodations.

Simply put, Wendy runs an inept operation, and cares more about putting money in her pocket than honoring prior commitments. Sure, we had bid on and won this charitable contribution for the stay, but when it came down to honoring it, Wendy has no decency to follow through on her end. Shameful.

Please do not give her any...

I don't review places a whole lot but felt a review would be helpful in this case. This inn has a great location - easy to get to downtown. The house itself is very shabby and not in great condition. Our room, the goat room, was very small and basic. The bathroom was TINY. There wasn't even a toilet paper roll, it was just sitting on a shelf. The "breakfast" was a joke. The website made it seem like it was a fully stocked kitchen - actually "fully stocked" are their exact words. It states, "Also, in the fully stocked kitchen we supply the food and you cook your own breakfast." The only food there was cereal and breakfast bars. Since they used the word "cook," I expected more than cereal. It also states they put out a Kringle every morning - nope. When I texted to inquire about eggs, they stated that they don't supply eggs, just cereal and such. So that's extremely misleading. They call themselves a "bed and breakfast" so they should consider reclassifying themselves as that is not the case. ||My main issue is with payment. I booked on Hotels.com and paid more money for the "pay at the property" option. I think it was like $10 or $20 more, I can't recall exactly. I received email confirmation that my payment would not be due until we checked in at the property. However, my credit card was immediately charged. I inquired about this and Hotels.com states that the property "doesn't offer that option," which begs the question - "Why is that option available then? And for more money?" I reached out to the hotel themselves and, several days AFTER our stay, I still haven't received a response to the messages I sent over a week ago. It is completely unacceptable to pay more for a "pay later" option, be forced to pay immediately, and not receive a refund for the price difference.||There is also literally no one on site to help; so their customer service is non existent. ||So, if you don't mind tiny living quarters and don't plan to eat breakfast at the hotel, this is a great location and reasonably priced for the downtown location. Just go into it with extremely low expectations and no...
