I had a disturbing and seemingly racially biased experience at this store while visiting with my 3-year-old and 11-month-old children, and my sister—who has very fair skin, blonde hair, and green eyes. I was wrongly accused by a male staff member on August 2, 2025, of breaking a glass bottle, or somehow being responsible for merchandise falling and breaking. At the time of the incident, I was holding my 11-month-old (who had no shoes on) and facing the opposite side of the aisle, picking out candy for my 3-year-old. The glass broke behind and fair off to the side of me, splashing onto my pants along with other merchandise. All from the bottom shelves. Still, the employee insisted it was me, saying: “You were over there, so it was you.” When I denied it, he tried to blame my infant, who I held the entire time while we were in the store, shockingly he pointed at my 3-year-old (who was calmly sitting in a stroller my sister was pushing holding her candy when the incident occurred) and said, “Well, it was probably her. I know it wasn’t her,” while motioning toward my sister. This was incredibly offensive and illogical. If he believed it wasn’t my sister then how couldn’t he believe it wasn’t myself or one of my children? Again the oldest was with her and the other whom was with my 5’9 tall self facing away from the aisle the things fell off. What’s worse is that there was a white couple at the other end of the aisle holding merchandise, who literally ran out of the store right when the item broke. There was also another couple on the back side of the isle the stuff fell off that was standing there also looking at items. The items FELL FORWARD. They nudged the other end of the aisle. Yet the staff member never questioned them—not once. He was so fixated on me and my children that he let the real culprits go without a second glance. He even attempted to charge me for the broken item without saying anything—subtly adding it with my purchase. It wasn’t until I questioned how my item went from $3.99 to $7.43 he bucked up and said “you broke the bottle so you’re paying for it”. When I asked him to check the cameras, he said, “We don’t have any—I know it was you, or you, probably you but I know it wasn’t her”. I showed him where I was standing, where my sister and other child was and logically walked him through why it couldn't have been us. He still was reluctant that we did it but finally removed the charge only because “its 9 o clock It’s too late for this—I’m taking it off.” I don’t work there. I don’t get paid to monitor theft or broken merchandise. But it is their responsibility to watch all customers equally when they enter the store—not just fixate on the ones who look different or may have children. This experience was humiliating, baseless, and definitely racial in its tone. I won’t return, and I strongly advise families—especially people of color or individuals with children to be cautious of the treatment they may face here. Rocket Fizz Greenville needs to take accountability and train its staff to treat every customer with fairness...
Read moreWhere is the old manager? I have been to this location on multiple occasions and the store was shoppable with many options. On my recent visit it is so overwhelmingly full that I didn't make a purchase because I did not know where to start. I looked for the manager that I really enjoyed my encounters with to find out what was going on but was told she was no longer there. I was sad to hear this as she was very personable and helpful. I don't know if I will...
Read moreSame issue as Timothy went there during the Jazz fest and a paper sign was up saying back in 30. The problem is no time was given as to when they left and we waited around for 45 min and no one came. We watched a lot of people get upset and leave. I hadn’t been since they moved and I didn’t know they had new management, but this was super disappointing. I could see the item I wanted, that no one else seems to carry, but...
