To the brides who are looking to make their first appointment, and even more so to those who have been looking and just haven’t found “the one” yet, I’m telling you, bride to bride, you need to make an appointment at The Dressing Room South with Audry!!! You won’t regret it :)
I can’t begin to say enough about Audry at The Dressing Room South. She is THE. BEST! After having a bad experience at another store where the consultant made me feel unheard and pressured to buy, Audry was quite literally a breath of fresh air. Walking up to the Dressing Room South my name was on a cute little welcome sign and Audry greeted my party and me at the door with a warm smile and a chilled glass of champagne! Audry’s energy was so light and fun, she immediately made me feel comfortable and I knew we were going to have a good time; plus, the space was BEAUTIFUL (as were the dresses). I especially loved how intimate everything was: the setting, our private appointment (which allowed us to move around vs. being confined to a couch), our ability to look through and pull dresses, and just the overall experience. Audry was a great listener and made suggestions but never once pressured me into anything. The Dressing Room also had a great variety of dress styles and sizes all at an affordable price, which, considering the quality of these dresses, I would’ve expected them to be twice as much! Even after I said yes to the dress! Audry’s amazing service continued as she texted me updates and recommendations for other service providers (alterations, hair & makeup, etc). 5 starts does not do this place (or Audry) justice! I wish I could give them 10! Audry and The Dressing Room South will forever hold a little place in my heart for making such a special experience that much...
Read moreI cannot express enough gratitude for The Dressing Room and their consultant Lydia.
Before my appointment, Lydia reached out to discuss the types of dresses I was interested in and my budget. I shared my Pinterest board, along with styles I liked and those I didn’t from a first shopping experience at a different store. When my family and I arrived, Lydia welcomed us with a bottle of champagne and a warm smile. Her professionalism was matched by her kindness, making me feel completely at ease. Lydia’s expertise was evident, as the very first dress she selected was the one I ultimately chose.
Although I adored that first dress, I wanted to explore the rest of the initial selection Lydia curated based on my preferences. After that round, she tailored her suggestions further and allowed my family and me to browse the racks for any additional options. Every dress I tried on was beautiful.
In the end, I found myself torn between two stunning yet distinct dresses. Lydia gave no sign of annoyance even when I ended up trying each one on three times, complete with a veil and jewelry, so I could envision the complete look. I never felt rushed or pressured, even as we exceeded our appointment time. It was clear that Lydia was genuinely invested in helping me find my perfect dress, rather than simply making a sale.
Thanks to her guidance, I ultimately discovered the dress of my dreams. I am so grateful that Lydia was my consultant; she felt like a blend of a dress therapist and a supportive friend. Thank you, Lydia, and everyone at The...
Read moreEdit: the owner was very upset at my review which was honest and fair in my opinion. She reached out and somewhat apologized but mainly told me I was wrong or my girls were lying and asked me to remove my review over and over. She did offer for me to come in again and shop for a rehearsal dress/accessories (as I’d found my dress elsewhere) but I was very put off by her reaction.
I went to dressing room South for my first appointment. Overall good experience but after visiting other shops (where I ultimately bought my dress) I had some things to say. There were two ladies who helped me, I cannot remember names I’m so sorry. One of which was fine and sweet. The other seems to be annoyed when I couldn’t articulate my opinions on a dress.
One of my girls afterwards told me she overheard lady #2 talking and saying “well she likes it about one dress and doesn’t like it about the next, how the HELL are we supposed to figure out what she likes!” Loud enough for my group to hear, luckily I didn’t know until after, this really would have made me feel bad if I heard it in the moment. Lady #2 also was rude when a member of my party asked about the champagne she said “well, you didn’t ask.”
The dress selection was good and I had an overall good time. But I felt slightly rushed and once I stated towards the end of my appointment that I would not be able to decide that day, that they showed less care and patience with me. By comparison I had a much more pleasant experience at...
