Such an amazing example of nature finding a way. Is almost as if the roots are protecting the earth that once protected them. They think the roots were exposed when the Furman rd was made. It's now a footpath beside it which is nice so all can enjoy.

Beautiful historical spot in the middle of the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Accessible by stairs or elevator at the ground level of the park. Beautiful, unassuming and a must visit if in downtown Greenville (SC).

My son and I rode the Swamp Rabbit Trail from Travelers Rest all the way downtown Greenville, once you get past the rock falls of and where it ends on the street this cool tree is there!

Very cool to see all these roots from a strong tree. There is no fee or need for tickets, but this review prompt asks about it. Regardless, it is part of the free park area and makes for a neat observation...
