Mother's day, May 10, 2020 My loving husband wanted to treat my mom and I to nice steak dinner (Curbside Pickup COVID-19 still not dining in) We have ordered curbside many times during this time of uncertainty with very good results. Today, was a very disappointing trip which ended very bad. We ordered our dinner online like every other time. No problem with ordering and requesting a pickup time of 6:30pm with no WARNING that curbside was going to be backed up. My 17 year old daughter went to pick up our order only to find the parking lot was full and the line to get in which was not social distancing was very long. She finally found a curbside parking spot #12, she called me about 30 minutes into this and asked me to call the restaurant to let them know she had arrived and no one had come out to her car to take our payment. I called and after 42 tried I actually got the manager first name David on the phone, his response and I will quote "I am not sure when we will be able to get to her due to our dine in lines being so long" I responded with, "We ordered online and there were no indications that our food would not be ready when promise. As we wait at our home for dinner, I get a call from my daughter 2 hours later that no one had come to her car yet, so I call again getting some one that I could not understand their name after 24 tries and they told me that our order was next but went on and on about the COVID-19 ordeal which I am sure it is very challenging to be working out on the front lines. I am not exaggerating when I say that my daughter arrived home after waiting since 6:30 PM with NO communications with ANY Longhorn employee at 8:54 PM in TEARS and NO food. I believe this is very poor management, all it would have took would have been a visit to the curbside cars and I am talking about ALL of them to let customers know they could not handle the crowd under the circumstances. My daughter was not giving up on our dinner because she wanted me to have a nice Mother's Day dinner she waited and wasted her time ,which caused her to be very stressed. What I have to say to the manager of the Hiram Longhorns is this..."David, you have very poor manager skills and you should be ashamed of yourself!' I hope you fed all of our homeless and needy people with ALL the food that you all prepared in poor timing and was left behind ! We were not the only ones that finally said after 3 hours with NO communication, ENOUGH is ENOUGH!! Really, you DO NOT even qualify for 1 star after this...
Read moreWorst experience I've ever had at this Longhorns. After my husband and I were seated we waited 10+ minutes with no acknowledgement from any server. My husband went up to the hostess stand and politely asked if our server knew we had been seated. The hostess went to check and 5 minutes later our server showed up. The server stated their name and asked what we would like. We went ahead and placed our drink, appetizer, and entree orders since we had already waited so long. The server brought us bread and our tea within a timely manner. They placed the items on the table without a word. Ten minutes later our salads were placed on the table without a word. Ten minutes after someone different than our server brought our entrees. I asked this server if she could remove the appetizer we never received from our bill and she said yes. Our server NEVER returned to our table. They didn't stop to ask if we needed anything or to check how the food came out. Halfway through our entree I walked to the bar and requested refills on our tea, additional bread, and ketchup. The bartender asked where I was sitting and brought the items over within a couple of minutes. Again, we never once saw our server after they delivered the salads. Once we had finished our meals I asked another server walking by if we could get our check. Our server walked by our table a minute later stating they were going to bring our check after they brought another table their food. A couple of minutes later they placed the check on the table without a word and walked off as my husband thanked them. We left cash on the table and left the restaurant. I don't understand the very poor service we received. Never once were we rude or disrespectful but for some reason we were treated with complete disrespect. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.
PS- the silverware was dirty and we watched the busboy "clean" the two tables next to ours with a dirty napkin left over from the people who had sat there. The food was cooked well, came out hot, and...
Read moreI can't rate the food since we didn't get the opportunity to eat here. This is regarding the Hiram, GA location. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 20th, 2023. My group of five senior ladies walked out of the restaurant at 4:20 PM after waiting for about 25 minutes, and being told it would be at least another 15-20 minutes wait, to be seated in a predominantly empty restaurant. While waiting we watched another party of 5, party of 4 and 2 parties of 2 be seated. Granted the party of 5 was there ahead of us and had obviously been waiting for a while themselves and had to complain to be seated. When asking the hostess why the delay, she "frankly" told me the reason was the next server would not be on duty until 4:30 and we would have wait. We ask for the manager and after about another 5-10 minutes, he came from the back and approached my party. We explained our concerns and he turned from us, mumbled/grumbled something under his breath and went to the hostess stand. There was an unintelligible interchange between he and the hostess that involved, what we perceived to be, disgust and eye-rolling. That was it, we arose from the waiting area, informed him to "Never-mind, we're leaving!" I informed him that I would be writing a Google review. His reply, "That's OK. I understand." As we were leaving a family of 5 entered and promptly came returned out the door to leave also. They were told their wait would be at least 30 minutes. Mind you, the only patrons seated when we left were those 4 parties mentioned above and a few people in the bar area. We went about a block away to Texas Roadhouse. Even though they were already busy, we were immediately seated, promptly and cheerfully served and had an...
