I wanted to check this place out since they don’t have a location in the PNW. I did my research and made an appointment ahead of time. I wasn’t looking for anything specific, but I would have liked a smaller ring/bracelet or any store exclusive apparel if available. The person who helped me (never introduced herself but a young short East Asian lady) was absolutely horrible. I’m not even the type to complain about customer service. I’ve been using this account since 2011 and I’ve never even bothered to leave a single negative review because it’s not that deep. But I think today is a special day, because for the first time in my 30 years of life I’ve encountered a individual worthy of a bad review. Point blank I have no clue how this person has this job other than the fact there are a lot of tourists and they need someone to translate.
Anyways, I check in exactly at my appointment time and she already seems annoyed before I say anything. She checks my ID, lets me in the door, and literally just stands there. Never in my life have I walked into a luxury goods store and been completely ignored (by the person who let me in no less). That wasn’t all. When I let her know what I was looking for unprompted, essentially doing her job for her, she seemed like I was inconveniencing her by trying to buy something. Again, why are you even there??? I’m not even upset that they didn’t have anything I wanted since it’s not that deep. I’m just perplexed by this person’s behavior. I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she wasn’t being discriminatory. She’s just terrible at her job.
As for the store in general, the selection wasn’t great. There were very few items and not many sizes available. Which is totally understandable given many different factors (the company, the location, and the time of year). I’m sure the other employees are great and I was just unlucky enough to encounter the wrong one. Ultimately I can only share my experience and my experience has completely turned me off from the brand. Which is ok, as there are a lot of great options out there and it’s not that deep. I recommend anyone looking for good quality handmade jewelry to avoid the quasi-artisanal shops, do your research, and buy local (wherever that may...
Read moreI’m not one to ever write reviews no matter what my experience is. But after today I felt the need to do so. I Flew in to Honolulu a couple days ago and wanted to come to the store the first day I got here and ended up needing an appointment so I couldn’t even come in and look around but that’s okay so I made an appointment to come shop 2 days later (today) once I arrived they opened the door checked my Id and I was with my girlfriend and mom and dad (4 of us) once he confirmed my reservation I felt like I was being judged the whole time which is hilarious because I was wearing a rare chrome jersey that they don’t even make anymore. So I definitely have a lot of knowledge and respect for the brand so feeling like I was being hovered over the whole time and RUSHED because you only have a 30 minute time window. I didn’t see anything I liked downstairs so the family and I went to the second story to check out more stuff. Keep in mind I came into this store with no budget wanting to buy something nice for myself for my birthday. The way I was treated was like I was a homeless person in a store I was not welcome at. My parents wanted to go downstairs to go check out some items and the guy who was “helping us” I guess. Stopped them from going downstairs saying “you have to stay up here so I can watch you… I mean help you” like WHAT LOL. After that I tried taking a picture of this cool chandelier they had and immediately was told not take photos. Didn’t know I was in Area 51… but still not a big deal I politely put my phone away. Then as we all went downstairs I wanted to look around a bit more and their selection was extremely limited so not much to look at anyway. Still just wanted to enjoy my time there. Then after not seeing something I really liked and feeling like my family and I were being judged the whole time making us feel like we couldn’t afford anything when that’s not the case lol. Moral of the story is these employees need to learn about not judging a book by its cover and being respectful and just kind goes along way and maybe they wouldn’t have a 3...
Read moreKara made my visit a 5 star experience! I showed up on a Saturday pm without reservation. The young lady at the counter kindly opened the door and asked me to make a reservation which was immediately available 20 min after. No attitude or ignorance given so unsure why so many people had rude experiences before. At my appointment time, the same young lady at the counter opened the door for me and I was greeted by Kara. Kara was such an amazing and energetic person to talk to and engage with. She showed me the showroom and briefly introduced this store opened back in 2007. When I asked about the Hawaii exclusive items, she took me upstairs and found both items in my size. She also offered to have me try on the items while there was no other size available given the T shirts run slim. Kara also offered when will be best to visit again next time per their shipment schedule around the holidays so I know to come back and check out the new arrivals. I was very happy with her service and couldn’t have met a better and more helpful sales associate than Kara. Highly recommend this Chrome Hearts store when my family and friends are in town. Make sure to book an appointment so not to have surprises when showing up. Ask for Kara to have the best...
