Update response: To Owner: Thank you for responding to my complaint, though it's disappointing that it took six months for this lackluster response. Your response feels vague, lacking in accountability, and somewhat defensive. While I understand, there may be 'conflicting reports' as you say, the focus should be on the poor experience I had as a former frequent customer. Phrases like "rather than trying to assign blame" come across as dismissive, as if the issue was being downplayed rather than fully addressed. And when I look at your response to other customers who have complained about the service they received, you are dismissive and sometimes you outright deny and invalidate their experience. But as I said in my initial review, I haven't returned nor do I ever plan on returning. Thank you for confirming for me that I made the right choice in no longer patronizing your establishment. With a mindset like this I'm quite sure your business is slowly hemorrhaging money and eventually one day the In Between will be no more.
This used to be one of my favorite local Karaoke spots however after the horrible experience with the bartender Jacob I won't be returning. Typically I have tried to avoid this bartender when he's on shift because he has always had an attitude with me but tonight it reached the pinnacle. Not long after my friend and I arrived and ordered our typical bottle of wine he came and asked us to move outside of the bar(plenty of room inside the bar), claiming that my perfume specifically was affecting him negatively. He then tried to involve the other bartender saying it was affecting him too (which was a totally fabrication of the truth) and I told him I don't wear perfume so I wondered if it was the smell of soap that was aggravating his senses. Additionally, when I gave him my credit card, he returned it. he put it on the bar in a small puddle of wine that he spilled when he was pouring the red wine for us. I didn't say anything, and I cleaned up the credit card and after I done that, he then cleaned up the spill which made me realize he put my card in the wine purposely. When I confronted him on his attitude, he loudly denied it and begin to try to argue with me. The other bartender kept trying to tell him to stop arguing with the customer but he continued to escalate the situation. I canceled my order and my friend and I left. Employees like this, who select who they want to offer good customer service to, are like a slow poison to a business and you lose revenue...
ย ย ย Read moreIf you aren't looking for a gay bar, stay away. If you don't want to wait 2 hours for the same 3 dudes to sing in falsetto back to back, stay away. Worst Karaoke bar I've ever been to. Sad cause I'd have probably gone there when here. In 2 hours I watched 3 guys sing 10 songs. One of them 8 minutes long. While I waited. When I brought up the queue to the bartender he kicked me out. Gonna be a no from me.
In response to the owner. Your 1 star reviews all read similar. In fact they read like you are pretty discriminatory. No, patrons should not expect to wait 2 hours for 3 locals so sing all night. That's absurd. I'd bet money that there are thousands of cases like mine. But most people just leave. I'm not most people.
And yes, when I brought up the queue your bartender got uppity. Just like you are attempting to call me a liar now. Ask yourself. Why would someone lie about this? I gain nothing other than the satisfaction that I might prevent others from having the...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place will always hold a special place in my heart and hope to come back to it soon. We came here the 2nd night of our vacation and I fell in love. The voices that people had here were outstanding, so much talent. We met some locals and out of towners and both were extremely pleasant and welcoming. We had such a great time that after our quick wedding ceremony two days later we decided to come back for drinks and some singing. We got to see our new local friends again and once people realized it was our wedding night and we didnโt have โour first danceโ they asked our song and next thing I knew my husband and I were dancing in the middle of floor with everyone surrounding us and signing โstand by youโ it was such a special moment. Also, a patron videotaped it for us and sent to me. This is a great place to sing and not be judged, meet new people, and have...
