Stay away! Circled around the building twice before actually finding it. There is no parking, you will end up parking under a different building at no discounted rate.

Parked in a parking lot nearest to them for an hour while dealing with the receptionist (read below) before finally being directed to the cheaper lot. That was an extra $15 bucks.

Price sounds great and the reviews seem solid, DON'T DO IT. This place is a hole in the wall, and not like in a good way like your favorite Mexican restaurant. Tiny rooms to go along with the tiny water bottles they give out. The full size waters are only $4.

Booked a room for a staycation with my wife recently through their company website full price, no Priceline or anything. When we arrived we were received warmly and then offered a hilariously small room with 2 twin beds! The room actually would have benefited if they were bunk beds as there was no space left to walk around the beds the room was so cramped. Obviously that room wouldn't work for the occasion.

The receptionist was understanding and to her credit, apologized and tried to help out. Astonishingly though, they were all out of king size bed rooms on a non eventful Thursday. I only saw or heard 1 other guest during our time there...guess they only have that 1 king room they use in all their pictures!

She offered an upgrade to their executive room for 50 dollars, and after some back and forth I begrudgingly agreed. She called her manager to get the approval, unfortunately for the employees, they are all micromanaged. The manager denied the request and refused any discount. At this point it would be more than double my initial cost to pay to upgrade. I was ready to pay the cancellation fee and just go somewhere else when I was informed about the cancellation policy. For me to cancel, I would be charged 1 full night's reservation... My full amount.

Having only a little pride left I was done and leaving. No cancellation, just leaving. Then she came up with another idea, the family suite. This was a conjoined double room and had a king bed and 2 twin beds. If I remember right it was about 100 to upgrade, still nearly doubling my cost but at this point I knew they had won, they didn't need to be nice they had my money either way. It was clever marketing, bait and switch and complete lack of real customer service but it worked. No discount given, they made more money and I was given a smile and new room key.

The room was fine and we made sure to test all the beds just to get our money's worth! Made the best of it and until finding mold growing out of the air vent we'd considered the whole event neutral. Keep in mind I live here, I understand it's humid and stuff grows fast...but mold in the air vent is dangerous and unacceptable.

Call it icing on the cake but realizing you just paid (nearly)double what you should have to breath mold all night kind of put a damper on the rest of the weekend. Looking at the picture you may think it's dirt or dust (which is somehow better?) But I assure you it is not.

Hopefully this review is informative, I doubt it will sway their great rating and that's ok. Google asked me to give a review and so I did. I just remembered I was asked to review them on Trip advisor as...

Really disappointed with this hotel after reading the great reviews below. We went with family and I booked two rooms and asked for them to be close together we were put on different floors. This was booked months earlier.||The worst thing about the stay was the place is run down and the bed, it was so old and had it - it sunk in the middle and you could feel the springs! Sore back, we both couldn't sleep. It says the room has sound proofing it doesn't. The room was incredibly noisy as it faced the road so take ear plugs or ask for a room overlooking the pool. ||A lot of things in the room didn't work. The lighting was poor. A microwave but no dishes to use in it or to put anything on, no toiletries on arrival, no coffee, had to ring and ask for it, no tea the whole stay, reading lamp didn't work, plug didn't work - I looked at it and it was cracked, no safe (they took one from the other room and put it in). Coffee cups not cleaned each day, they just left the dirty ones. Tap in basin water dribbled out you couldn't even clean your hands properly unless you used the shower. The place is run down. It is like they have done things on the cheap. Put in a led mirror in the bathroom to try and make it look better but not fixed the essentials in the rooms.||The pool doesn't get sun till about 11/12 in the morning so you are better off going to the beach. The decking around the pool has loose wood which isn't nailed down, screws sticking up on some of the wood, so make sure you wear sandals otherwise you will hurt your feet! Also the decking is incredibly dirty looks like it could do with a good waterblast. Asked for a wake up call and didn't get it, thank goodness my phone alarm worked. The clock in the room is not even on the right time.||The most important thing to me in a hotel is a comfortable bed to get a good sleep, you don't get that here. I have stayed at the Ohana East in the past and will be sticking to that, much better hotel and...

Chose this hotel cuz it fit the bill and location for a conference, May 17-20, 2023. I was a little hesitant with some of the negative reviews. However, among similar rated hotels, the price and location were very reasonable so took a chance. The hotel is a small boutique hotel, no frills, no onsite restaurant. Great for people who enjoy exploring the area vs lounging and enjoying the property. ROOM 3.5*: the room i reserved was clean but had the common musky, damp carpet smell of tropical locations (the more expensive rooms and higher rated tropical hotels don't use carpet). Interestingly, its direct online site had superior and deluxe (more expensive vs superior) rooms but at check-in, there was no distinction. I should have just booked the cheaper superior room. The bed was super firm, almost like having a sleeping bag on the floor firm. Microwave was very handy and the Bidet useful too (lol). I requested the street side view, with knowledge of possible loud street noise, because sipping a drink while people watching after a long day was enjoyable. As with any major hotel room facing a main busy street, there will be a degree of street noise. (Bring a DOHM noise cancellation machine.) The bathroom reminded me of a cruise ship bathroom, small. Electronic outlets were few and no USB or USB-C. Service 5*: I had minimal interactions with the staff but Jasmine was very friendly and helpful each time. Hotel 3.5*: small pool, 9ft at the deep end. Small lobby, if that was the lobby. Unusable "sundeck." I saw staff vacuumed, cleaned, and maintained the hotel daily. Booking direct waived my daily resort fees. The resort fee includes beach chairs and umbrellas. Fort DeRussy Beach around the corner, <7 mins walk. Would I return here in the future? Yes, but only if traveling alone, group of friends, or without young kids.
