Had the best experience at this location! We were traveling from Dallas and had a wedding to attend so i booked a blowout to use my barfly membership. Chris was phenomenal and explained in detail everything he was doing and all of the products he was using for my service. I ended up leaving with the products he recommended! Their bartender (i think his name was Mikey?) is such a doll! He took care of me during my appointment and my husband while he waited for me to be done! I told him the type of drink i was in the mood for, and he brought me over something that he created as a surprise! He was such a sweetheart and was so appreciative of us taking a chance on him and letting him be creative with his drink making!

I had such a great experience that i even booked a second blowout for our travel day back home to Dallas because of how great they were. My appointment was for 12:15 so i got there a couple minutes early just to be safe. They sat me right away and let me know my stylist would be by soon. I ended up waiting over 35 minutes for my stylist to come. I understand things happen, so we were not terribly upset. However, my husband and i were worried about not making our flight. I mentioned to my husband that we would wait another 5 minutes and then ask to cancel the appointment so we still had time to get checked out of our hotel to make our flight. I guess the receptionist overheard so she came over to apologize for the delay and let me know she would give me a discount of 20% for the trouble. I was so appreciative of that. A few moments later my stylist (Chris again!!) came over and we got started. He apologized for the delay and ended up doing extra treatments on my hair to make up for the delay free of charge. Once i was done, i went to check out and the receptionist let me know that she comped my entire blowout and treatments due to the scheduling mishap. I was so shocked!! I offered to still take care of the treatments but she refused and said it was on them today! I am so incredibly impressed with their customer service. I have never had a better experience at a Drybar! We are clearly not from Hawaii, but i will 1000% be letting everyone i know who travels to Waikiki to go to this location! And i will 1000% be back when we come...

Originally had a great experience - but I paid and left in a rush to get to a reservation for lunch. The next day the charge on my card was WAY more than expected. I was told by the receptionist that gratuity is included in the $60 blowout charge (my mom heard her and I confirmed with her multiple times because I didn't want to accidentally not tip the amazing hairstylists). I even tipped extra in cash because I felt like they deserved a little bit extra. When I called confused about the additional $40 charged to my card they were rude and unsympathetic. The receptionist acted confused and just kept telling me "everything looks right" but refused to email me an itemized receipt. I got a call back from the manager and she told me she's unable to process refunds and even laughed at me that I "gave them extra money". She said she would speak with the receptionist about giving us the wrong information but refused to waive any fees and just overall acted like I was ridiculous for even being upset about being given wrong information and being overcharged. It turned a wonderful experience into feeling ripped off and scammed.

*They sent me my itemized receipt. The manager was much friendlier when calling a second time and more willing to work things out. Still was a really upsetting and unfair experience - and stressed out my elderly mother when we were supposed to be on a fun weekend trip. I'll update my review to be more fair if they actually follow through with crediting something back...

I had the worst experience at the Drybar in Waikiki Beach International Market. I made an appointment three days in advance and clearly communicated that I was going to a wedding — the most important wedding ever — and showed them the specific hairstyle I wanted. I was expecting a polished, beautiful look, but what I got was an absolute disaster.

The stylist didn’t listen to my requests. From the very beginning, I asked to see the style as she worked, but she kept saying we were on a time limit. I had told them upfront that I only had an hour and a half, but I never expected that would result in a rushed, terrible outcome. Towards the end, I realized that my hair looked nothing like what I had asked for — it was literally a mess. I had a bird's nest on my head! I had requested a spilt in middle and Hollywood waves, but instead, I got frizzy, tangled hair that looked nothing like the picture I showed.

I even asked her to undo the half-up style because it made me look like I was stuck in the '90s. When I finally saw the end result, I was shocked. I ended up paying $81 for something I couldn't even leave the salon with, so I quickly threw my hair up in a clip and went straight to the wedding. I was in tears because of how bad it was.

I highly recommend avoiding this place or at least leaving yourself 3 hours to wash and redo the hair yourself. It was honestly a nightmare, and I regret wasting my time...

Very disappointed with the results! My cousin booked this for me and her to get our hair styled as it was for my birthday! We were both really disappointed with the results. Not only did it seem like a bad job, it seriously didn’t last? We had a 10 minute walk home and by the time we got home both our curls are fallen and it looked bad. We could have done a better job ourselves. I had asked for a very simple blowout style look with big curls and lots of volume. The stylist used a straighten to first straighten my hair (my hair is slightly wavy naturally) and then she went over again with the straightener to just curl my hair. I was expecting her to at least use a round brush to give volume or use a volumizing spray. For what you pay, it just wasn’t worth it and was rather disappointing for the service. I’ve added the reference photo I showed the stylist and what the end result was. The only redeeming part of the experience was Mikey at the bar. He was awesome! Made us very delicious drinks and made me feel special. He was super personable and truly made the experience fun. My stylist herself was also fine and very friendly! I just wasn’t happy with the result considering the price you pay.

Great cocktails. Mikey makes all of his own syrups with fresh ingredients, and personally selects the spirits with an eye towards Terroir. I’ve traveled the world and visited some renowned places for creativity in food and drinks. The Dry Bar is one the best cocktail places on the planet! The care and craft that goes into these cocktails is a cut above. If you don’t like a particular spirit, I bet he can challenge you with something delicious and unique. Absolutely incredible establishment with quality service and a great vibe!
